This weekend, we finally got to celebrate Easter with my parents.  Sunday we had a couple fires to burn some brush and old wood- we have a ton more fires before we get it all cleared away, but it was a good start. Put a good dent in it ! Shannon and Casey and Rylie and Jami and Brin came over. Kids ran and played outside all day. Took a break for a little bit in the hot tub (which wasn’t very hot) and then we ordered pizza.  I was home on Monday , and again on Tuesday. Thursday I work from home. It’s a nice chill week! This weekend I am heading up to Cornwall for a bit for my nieces birthday and then we are hosting a birthday party for Ty’s cousin turning 40 in the evening I have to get home to prepare for.  Not much is going on over here other than trying to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible.  We are in the midst of booking a trip to Nashville in October for 4 nights. So that’s a fun thing to look forward to :)  ...

Easter was hectic. Tyler's extended family hosted Easter the weekend before the actual day, so we went to that for a little bit so the kids could play and dance. Tyler became a member of the Ottawa Mustang Club, so he brought Garett to one of the meet and greets. Obviously Garett had no fun at all. The Saturday day of Easter weekend, Keira had a bit of a cold (she had a fever the night before but quickly got better), so we ended up not going to my family's meal. Good thing we didn't! The power went out, and the sump pump was full, so we had to quickly get a generator. If we had left, our basement would be flooded right now. The alarm started going off almost as soon as the power went off. So we shut the generator off to see how quickly it was filling--it was pouring in. The power came back on a few hours later, before bedtime (thankfully)!! I had lots of work to do with chocolate and toys! lol I grabbed a quick picture of the toys the bunny left, but not many ...

I am so late updating on the weekend that just went by, because it flew by, and it's crazy how fast time is passing! On Friday after work, I rushed home to finish packing Garett, feed the kids dinner and Tyler took him to the museum of nature for a sleepover for his Beavers group. It was a drop off event for our colony (or else they would have too many people if all parents were invited), so he got home, Keira went to bed, we went in the hot tub and relaxed for the evening. Saturday was a 9AM pickup, so Ty went to grab Garett, they ran a few errands and when Keira was going for her nap, I took my boy into toy to Toys R Us to get a gift for his friend and spend "his birthday money" aka saving his birthday money and me buying it lol. So he bought some stuff, and wanted to buy something for Keira too- he picked an Elsa Barbie doll (which she LOVED). We went home and wrapped his friends gift, and when Keira woke up from her nap, we went on a 5km walk around the neighbourh...

We finally had a "break." Some time to really be alone and enjoy the kids and our home. Friday evening I went home and our neighbour/friends daughter was dropped off around 5:00. We ordered in pizza/wings/French fries and watched Despicable Me. We took the kids outside to play, and they rode bikes around the driveway for about an hour, went inside and did some "Go Noodle" dancing. Then had a snack of popcorn while they watched the Shopkins movie. They got very little indoor playing done. Brin fell asleep on my lap as I rubbed her forehead, and when her dad came back, we just put them all to bed and went to the garage to play darts, watch music videos and then our other neighbour (who is our well guy, and also a musician) came by and him and Ty played some music also. It was a bit of a late night, but the kids slept in on Saturday! Saturday, everyone slept until almost 9! Heavenly :) We got up, made some breakfast and lounged around. We did some laundry, tidied up ...
