New baby needs for my sanity !

After Garett , I had settled into a nice routine. That was over 3 years ago, so this time around I knew I didn't have the luxury of figuring it out as I went again, because with a toddler running around also, you have to be better at time management. Here is my list of things I couldn't make it through without!! 1) our Maytag stand up deep freezer. Deep freezers keep breast milk longer. It's emptied out and quickly filling up with milk! My supply this time is crazy, so I probably have a few weeks extra milk stashed away so far. This puts my mind at ease knowing that when I decide enough is enough with pumping, I will still have extra to give to her :) my goal this time is to make it to 6 months of just breast milk so then I will transition off of it once she starts her purées.  2) Nivea Body Milk lotion  My skin gets so dry in the hospital, and nursing quickly dehydrates you and your skin. So lotion. All the lotion.  3) pumping every 3-4 hrs. Lanolin cream. Enough said....

Partners in crime; partners in life

I sit here, staring into the face of what five years of marriage looks like. After 12 years of having known someone.  I met Tyler shortly after moving to Ottawa. I had just turned 19. He has known me for almost the entirety of my "adult" life, and this has made us stronger. It resulted in a lot of arguing, and a fierce, childlike love at first. I'm sure no one thought we were a fit that would last forever. But me ? From the moment he welcomed me with a hug and a single red rose on our first date, I knew I was in it for forever. Something clicked inside of me.  We have been through so much. So many difficult moments. So many amazing moments, and countless beautiful memories.  We have created life; the most beautiful lives. Our two young children. We have a beautiful life together. Built upon a strong foundation of adoration , lust, and a promise of forever.  We have hopes to travel the entire world together, to have everything , to become uncompromisingly happy. And s...

Perfection.  Daycare is closed this week. My mom is visiting to help me out, and g loves being around his new baby sister still (and soaking up one on one attention, even, with mom, dad and grandma).  Time is flying by. I'm trying to soak it in. Trying to stare at my children as much as possible. I'm much more relaxed in my role this time around, which puts Keira at ease and causes my milk to come in quickly between feeds  lol (the stash is out of hand already lol).  Here's to many more weeks of heaven with these beautiful souls that make me smile in appreciation and love everyday !! (Mommy was cooking supper, and Keira was supervising ) Off to the doctors!:) The first outfit I bought her before she was born ! My stash on day 8. It has doubled since.  Keeping her up, apparently  Such a sleepy munchkin  Rainy Sunday. Daddy at his motorcycle course. Cartoons, snacks and naps! Trying out my new Moby I ordered. She likes it :) I'll throw a daddy/g pic in. ...
