Keira Florence Wood
I went for a big breakfast at Coras with my mom and headed out shopping for 1.5 hours with my mom. Turns out she really wanted something! Lol. I started having contractions about 20 minutes apart as soon as we got home. By 4pm they were about 5-6, so we headed into the hospital and got checked out. I wasn't progressed enough to be admitted so we asked to go home. They wanted us to walk around a bit, but I said I would be much more comfortable at home. So off we went. Picked up some food on the way, chowed down and my contractions immediately picked up.
About 3-5 mins apart at this point.
We got to the hospital and they checked me again. They didn't want me to leave this time. My blood pressure was a bit high but they tested it and all was well :)
This was around 11:30pm
My contractions starting lasting long, were shorter periods apart and so strong. We were down to every two minutes or so by now. This was about 1:00.
We got admitted and settled into our room and they ordered the epidural. We waiting until 2am to get it , and I was beyond nervous because he was a resident , but he was great.
At 2:34 I was complaining I wanted to push. They said just hold off. They checked me and I was ready to start pushing at 2:39am.
8 minutes later, I was holding Keira and ty and I were crying like babies.
Also ...I am so proud, no tears whatsoever. No stitches to worry about. No problems peeing this time, no pulling getting into the truck, etc etc. I can't even get over how much smoother this time went!
So anyways. Welcome Keira!all 7lb 12 oz of you. You got a 9 on your apgar, have had some colostrum and many poopy diaper changes already.
