Easter weekend recap (SO late)

how is it already the weekend again? Extra long weekends, followed by extra short weeks really throw me off! Is it bad that my eight month old is more adaptive than me? Haha

Anyways:
Friday was a day off from daycare, and Tyler was home as well. We were at my MIL's house right before noon , and did a brunch. We stayed a few hours playing Yahtzee , watching the boys play , sitting I the beautiful weather and waiting for Keira to wake from her nap. When she was up, we headed home. It was an early night for the kids. After dinner, they each had their baths and straight to bed at like 7!

Saturday was busy getting ready for the bunny. I cleaned the house, Garett and I baked a cake, we went to the park, watched a movie, painted a little bunny piggy bank thing, both kids had a nap, and wrote a note to the bunny (g drew a picture as well). Bedtime was 7:20, so left lots of time to put out all the eggs and gifts :) we were in bed by 9, sound asleep hah

Luckily we went to bed early, because g was up at 6:20 ready to GOOOOO lol but he had to wait for Keira to get up and have her bottle, so he got dressed , brushed his teeth and played on the iPad until it was time. We hid 120 plastic eggs on the main floor. Filled with a variety (some had Easter eggs inside, some bunny shaped jubjubes, and some jelly beans ). Garett isn't a big chocolate fanatic , so I knew we were going to have to switch it up a bit. He is such a good egg seeker! He had them all found in about 15 minutes lol a few took some clues, but for the most part, he did it on his own. He was very excited to see the gifts the bunny left also, and was happy to see he fought a little something for Keira (a pink vtech walker) and something for Daddy (a new record player to play his toto vinyl he ordered ) .

Once that was done, I made pancakes for breakfast and we were on the road to Cornwall to visit my family. Another egg hunt and basket of goodies ensued , a nice meal and a good visit before we headed home. The kids slept all the way home so it was a nice relaxing ride :)

On Monday we were up bright and early. Tyler had to go into work for a while until 2 or so, so while I was taking care of the kiddos , I was getting the house tidied up and starting the dinner for his mom and sister and nephew. G and I also made some big chocolate chip cookies that morning. We didn't want to do a big turkey dinner since it was just me, so I stuck to something easy. Two broccoli/stuffing/chicken casseroles, a big Greek salad, some buns and desserts. Everyone came around 2:30/3 and left around 6/6:30. It was another nice meal with family :) the kids were in bed early, yet again, after baths, and I had a bath after as well to relax.

So far this week, I've done groceries, taken g on errand runs, had my last fast food for a while, meal prepped my first 5 days of the 21 day fix I'm doing , cleaned out the fridge, caught up on The Fosters and Keeping up with the Kardashians, sorted through all of Garett's 2T and 3T clothes that are too small, moved some stuff around in Garett's room, done more endless laundry, and gone exploring with G in the rain and found a nature trail up in the hills at the end of our street that he loves to search through. Garett also went on his first bike ride of the season. It's been a hectic week! Looking forward to this weekend, and the week ahead :)
