Daycare things

Our timing with the kids worked out pretty well. With one starting school next week, I took a bit of extra time off to ease into all the transitions; as Keira takes over Garett's spot in daycare. So tomorrow is the big day for her. We will see how she does, and try and get her into a good routine there, where she naps a bit later in the day to align mealtimes and naps with the other little s. Being close for two weeks while the kids both get used to their new surroundings takes a lot of panic off of my mind; being able to pick up and go at anytime. I have a bit of an empty nester feeling though! Lol

Anyways, Keira's list for daycare was more like packing her for an overnight trip, but stuff that wasn't going to come back constantly , so I had to purchase extra stuff. Here's what I sent :

-the playroom is in the basement , and gets cool on the kids feet , so we always keep her stocked with slippers. I doubt Keira will keep hers on , but we are sending these cute bunny slippers which are on sale for $12 right now!
-a pillow , blankie, blanket for nap
-a change of clothes in case of accident
- a box of diapers (which I get super cheap now with my Amazon prime membership, I subscribe to them and save another 15% on top of the prime discount!)
-a box of wipes (same with wipes on Amazon prime!)
-a pack of soothies soothers. She doesn't really use them during the day or nap, but just in case!
- two dr. Brown bottles (we like them the best because they're easy to wrap her hand around. )
-some containers of Enfagrow until we transition her to homo milk during naps also
-some of THESE easy peasy sippy cups. She doesn't ask us to send cups and stuff, but I know these ones are nice to have around, and lord knows Garett probably chewed a few up in the year and a half he was there.
- and a few of These for when we start weaning her off the bottle soon.
-sunscreen
-penaten squeeze bottle
-little swimmers (in case it gets nice again, or for next summer)
-Sunhat
-knit hat
-A bottle brush in case she needs to wash a bottle on the fly
-this cute tankini--again if the weather gets momentarily warm again. If not, whatever , I got it for $12! Lol


Other than that, she has a nice new wardrobe and all new shoes to impress all her friends at daycare. Couldn't let her feel left out , with all the shopping we have done for Garett! It's kind of like going to school for her !;) (that's how I justify things lol).

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to shower while Keira naps so we can go to Garett's goodbye party at daycare this afternoon :'(. *hint* I won't be wearing mascara. Haha

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
