We have only 9 sleeps left until we drop the kids off to Shannon and Casey, and leave at 4:00AM to head to the airport on the 24th, and I haven't put a single article into anyones luggage yet. My lists make me feel prepared, but packing is a huge process to me, and this is the latest I have ever started! I'm starting to panic slightly lol. Ottawa was just dumped with 30cm of extra snow, and apparently are calling for more tomorrow. Yesterday, I stayed home and worked from home, but because so many others were doing that too, the server kept crashing. So productivity was down in the AM, but by the afternoon, the issues were resolved. Tyler plowed the driveway and then took Garett up the road to plow our neighbour/friends driveway. They stayed for lunch and played a bit, and then I grabbed a shower, Keira woke from her nap, I finished up some work and threw some meat in the oven to cook. Things have been slow moving (time, productivity) the last week or so. I am just finding a gross lack in motivation whenever the weather is grey. I feel a huge disconnect when the weather is like this with Tyler, with all of my friends and family. This is all because of my own doings though. I stop saying yes to things, I stop making plans. I really just nail my feet to the floor in my house and wait out the rest of winter. Plus, I am having so much anxiety surrounding this trip (I hate travelling when the potential of snow storms can affect flight times, turbulence, etc). But other than that, lately I have been slowly plugging away at my house after watching "Tidying Up". Since I did a HUGE riddance before we moved (huge is an understatement), I don't have much to do in the thinning out department, but to organize the cupboards and drawers better is my jam. - I repurposed the pantry back into a pantry (well, kitchen storage) over the weekend. As per the norm, things have been crazy on the work front for us, home front, and just all around keeping up with life! I will say, if it was any other way, I wouldn't know what to do with myself lol. On the weekend of Garett's birthday, we had a bunch of family and friends over to celebrate this big SIX year old. He had an "army" type party-so just a bunch of camo things, tank balloons, etc A good time was had by all (I think lol) After everyone left, Ty and G played some tic tac toe and checkers while I de-birthdayed and cleaned up. Ty had a rehearsal on Jan 31 (also it was his 36th birthday), so we ran home and I made a special dinner (mandarin orange chicken, rice and salad).
