I am the definition of M.I.A.
I love coming to this little corner to jot down thoughts, but sometimes it just seems like too much is running through my mind and I don't even know where to begin playing catch up. So instead, things are always point form. My brain works in lists, therefore, that's what you get!
While I have been MIA since Christmas, I have done a few things:
-Babysat the neighbours kids (a baby and a 5 year old) so they could go out on their first date night since baby was born.
-Completed the front hall (with the exception of building the hall closet area), finished off the living room and upstairs hall (just need my stinkin rug to arrive! )
-Ty started a new job as a Business Development Manager for an eCommerce platform, and is really enjoying his flexible hours and working from home.
-I attended a margarita/Mexican fiesta at my neighbours house for the January edition of the Bearbrook Ladies house tours.
-Went to a 5th birthday party up the road.
-Went on a two day business writing course at Ottawa U and spent $70 parking!! insane. But I get it back ,so no worries :) I also am getting my last Carleton course compensated back to me.
-Keira registered for Kindergarten :(
-I went out for food and drinks with Shannon and her friend Annie for a much needed night out
-We had the neighbour guys over to watch the UFC fight in the garage. I stayed inside, but brought them out some snacks since they couldn't get pizza and wings delivered (all of the delivery places cancelled because of the snow storm).
-The Catholic teachers went on strike, so I took the day off with Garett and took him to bring mitt warmers, coffee to a school in cornwall and food and coffee (couldn't find more mitt warmers) to the place our teachers were picketing in Orleans. I think it was a good lesson for Garett to rally for his future and his quality of education.
-This weekend is Garett's SEVENTH birthday (and party). He is very excited, but I am already stressed at the fact that it's off-site, and I can't slowly get ready through the week, like I do when it's at home. And it's his first year with some school friends!
-After we are done with his birthday, we have some guys coming over to play dungeons and dragons, and Garett will get to play his character - he is pretty excited.
-On Sunday, Garett has two birthday parties to attend (one at some nerf dome place, and another at stars gymnastics).
-Next week (the 31st) is Tyler's birthday. My MIL is taking the kids all day and night on Feb 1 for us so we can have a date day and night. Our initial plan fell through because of availability, but I have a few things up my sleeve that I think he will enjoy. He is turning 37! almost at the big 4-0 ahaha.
-Lots of fun stuff on the horizon. You will hear about it at all some point, but obviously I am BAD at blogging haha.
Have a great rest of the week!
