200 blog post / 27 years

I wish I was exciting enough to post something wildly entertaining for my 200th post.

Instead, I will share that some hack job nurse came to my house last night to take blood for my upgraded life insurance policy, and left with no blood in a vile, instead, I got gifted with blood soaked band aids (she failed numerous times to find a vein)... Thanks , sweetheart.

This morning, Garett was on the receiving end of needles instead of mom and dad. He's good to go for shots until a year.

His stats:
18 lbs 4 oz (25th percentile)
29 3/4 inches long (95th percentile)
18" head circumference (75th percentile)

So, as you can see, fit as a fiddle :)

We then proceeded to buy the entire store of Bonnie Toggs winter edition (not quite, but I got carried away all the same). After the women at the store were done drooling over his "big brown eyes", we left. 

Ty was home pretty early after parting ways at the docs office. Lots of paperwork to catch up on though, so dinner prep has to wait until the sleeping angel on my lap wakes up (been 2 hours is, Garett. Hello?)

Trying a new rib recipe tonight with a Homemade BBQ sauce.

Random Q...for those who know my street...why is there an insane amount of dump trucks and transports that drive down here through the day! What.the.heck?!

For those of you that don't know me, tomorrow is the big 2-7 for me. So, a night in (or a surprise dinner out, who knows:) ) with my man tomorrow, then he will be going to a fishing derby and I will be spending a few nights with my family:)  dining out, shopping, baking sounds like a good few days to me!

Point form:

I may or may not have just splurged on a bunch of new clothes from a few of my fave stores online :)

Finally got Garett's other baby gate ordered the other day--should be here next week

Also ordered his and mine and Ty's Halloween costumes--pics to come after Halloween.

Booked our fall family photoshoot session with a friend of ours at a beautiful spot in ottawa, stay tuned for those pics as well. 

Septembers postponed date day has been re-planned for oct, stay tuned for that recap

Octobers date day, which involves our boy is coming soon as well. Cute pics will be put up or sure:)

Finished all but the last (to be aired) episodes of breaking bad ---I am going to miss this show!!

Trying our best to catch up in season 5 of SOA--time is getting away from us!

Pretty excited for the coming months and all the fun stuff happening!

67 days until MEXICO!!!:)

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
