Time is flying by...

How is it already Friday?
How is Garett already approaching 8 months?

I need to stop blinking because it seems like everytime my eyes close, it's a week later by the time the blink is over.

In other news, Mother Nature hates us this week--nothing but storms and rain. I guess we got spoiled this summer with gorgeous sunny and warm weather, so we are paying for it now! 

Last night was pretty calm. With the storms rolling through, we just had a simple chicken stir fry over a bed of baby spinach and kale and chopped up a plate of fruit to share while we watched TV.


It's so sad to see Garett watch us eat. While he eats biscuits and puréed foods, he still seems to reach for our stuff. I can't wait until he's older and can participate in our meals so I don't feel so bad for him! Lol

G man passed out super early last night, around 8 and so, I took advantage and took a nice bath, washed some bottles, put away some laundry and did some more loads. Pretty productive night!

I caught up this morning on big brother, while Garett had his bottle. I'm at the point now I don't even care who wins because everyone I wanted to win is gone. I guess I'm cheering for Gina marie *sighs

Ty is home already for the day (thank you rain), but has some accounting to do. I may take a run into town for some shopping if he is done soon :) I love spending time with my boy, but a little "me time" never killed anyone, though I usually spend the time shopping for groceries or for garett. But this time, I have in mind that Mexico is just 11 weeks away, so I have to buy my Mexico wardrobe, start Christmas shopping before we leave, get Garett's winter wardrobe, start some back to work clothes shopping (I want all new stuff ) and grab some new fall/Halloween decor. So it's not like I have a shortage of things to shop for!

I have some leftover fresh chicken from last night in the fridge, so ill probably try an easy new recipe tonight since I don't want to slave over the stove for very long.

Ty opened his September date envelope, so stay tuned in the next two weekends or so for my recap :)

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
