Spring cleaning time





With spring time and the beautiful weather comes the urge to clean, purge and organize!! 
Before I start my massive clean, I feel the need to planner since I thrive on planning (to-do lists jotted down everywhere lol). 

Here are my main desires this spring cleaning season:

I am planning our meals ahead now, and it goes well except for nights when I just don't have the energy to get it all together. This idea will help those nights, so Ty knows the plan for dinner and can get it started if he's home first. 7 days of meals separated after groceries into the corresponding nights basket. Open up the pantry and BOOM supper!:) (obviously aside from fridge items)


The laundry room is a constant annoyance in my life. I want to spruce it up. A trip to winners for some of these gorgeous glass canisters for detergent to place on the shelf will help! 1 for baby detergent, 1 for our regular Gain and 1 for the specialty detergent used for sheets (usually lavender scent to make us sleep better). will add a basket too to store those unsightly dryer sheet boxes.

The garage is a high traffic area, especially in the summer with bbqs and Garett playing outside and such, so I want to spruce that up a bit too. Starting with those UGLY wooden stairs. If I have to look at wooden stairs, maybe they can at least be pretty :)

Pantry reorganized and these cabinets look just like ours. As soon as I saw this I thought YES! Chalkboard paint the insides. Could come in handy when G is old enough to be allowed in the cupboards and can draw :)

Anyways, that's what my top spring cleaning list is:) 
Today G and I are having a day to just the two of us ! Once he wakes up from his nap, we are off to the cottage and backyard show to walk around, visit daddy for a bit and go to the little petting zoo to pet some chicks , bunnies, guinea pigs, etc. after that we will have some lunch and go get some more spring clothes for my boy :) We miss Ty when he's busy, but I so enjoy my time alone with Garett. His personality is really starting to shine through. I love watching his eyes light up and that smile spread across that adorable little face as I watch him interact with new kids and experience new things. He amazes me in every way.

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
