It WORKS.  Crafts: Always looking for a new and funky way to wrap daycare gifts and stuff. Last year we decorated the gift bag...but paper would be fun too!!

I am in a particularly good mood today. I don't know why, it's hard to explain--even after a rough morning : ain't nothing bringing me down today! ...I am loving that Christmas is coming up soon. I just have to wrap all of the gifts. My last order of toys for G came yesterday and I went through everything and I am so done! ...I am loving that I got a head start on Garett's birthday and ordered his birthday invites, thank you cards, and personalized envelopes, as well as personalized stickers to seal the envelopes :) I have my cart full for the rest of his birthday gear, so all I have to do is submit that, and order his cake. And figure out what to do for a birthday gift. ...I am loving that we slept in today. I usually wake up at 6:05 to get ready and am out the door by 6:35. Today I woke up at 6:40 because I was the one taking Garett to daycare, so we slept in a bit. I got to work at 8:00 :) I hope that extra hour makes the day go fast. I have a big list of stuff...

This year, we decided to make a "Wish List" on the Toys R Us site. We always scramble to put together a list of toys for each side of the family, because, let's be honest, Garett doesn't go without much. And that's fine. Until Christmas or birthday's roll around, and we don't have many ideas. By making the list, we only had to make one isolated guess as to what he would like. The other problem being that my kid has a wide variety of interests. He pretty much likes ANYTHING, and EVERYTHING, so it makes it easier to go overboard on him. So, we really limited ourselves this year, especially knowing his birthday is one short month after Christmas. So here are a few ideas for my toddler boy that we purchased: Imaginext Fire Command Center: He is a sucker for anything fire/ firetruck/fireman related. He LOVES wearing his fireman boots and hat around pretending he is a fireman, and "sliding" down the post in the basement yelling "Fireman ...

Is it just me or does it feel like Christmas has arrived already? I know there's no snow on the ground, but every morning I wake up, it FEELS like there should be a foot of fresh fallen snow on the car, and presents under the tree. But that's neither here nor there, because I haven't yet wrapped a single gift, and some of them I am still waiting to arrive. I have to do Garett's stocking still, Christmas eve box, and buy the "pass around" kind of gift for my family. So I am not in ANY way wishing for it to come faster. Because once that's done, the scramble for G's birthday party and Tyler's birthday starts! Friday night we didn't do a whole lot! I was SO tired, but got roped into doing a bit more decorating with the boys, made dinner, and we were all in bed early! Saturday we were up bright and early (6:30), so we hung out in bed for a bit, then I made French toast and breakfast sausage. We played until it was nap time--tyler head...

Brace yourself. Long recap post because u don't want to do multiple lol. I left out a lot of detail and touched just on the basics lol... So we went back to Mexico. It was a little outside of cancun, but still in cancun region at the Moon Palace Golf and Spa resort.  We left on November 18 (weds). Our flight wasn't until noonish, so we got to the airport with lots of time. At 11:00 we ordered our first drinks of the trip.  We had a bit if time once we got to Toronto, so another drink or two was ordered :)  When we landed in cancun, it was nighttime and had just rained. But it was warm, and that's what mattered! We caught our private shuttle, had two corona each in the 15 minute drive to the resort, and immediately checked in, had a quick dinner at the buffet, unpacked our stuff, and went out. But first!
