A little girl turns 1

On Wednesday, we had a photographer coming at noon for a cake smash photo shoot. So that morning, we dropped off her birthday party and photo shoot balloons at party city, bought a few last min things for Sunday (platters, bowls , serving spoons, etc)

Little miss found two pens that she thought were pretty spectacular lol


When we got home, she had her nap, got up, and the photographer came about 30 mins early since she was already nearby, so timing worked out well! 

I didn't snap many pictures because little girl would NOT stay on the backdrop lol. So it will be a few more days before I get the touched up pictures , and I'm excited to see what she managed to get. 

Keira loves her picture being taken , but doesn't so much love cake, or smashing them. She daintily would touch the icing and lick it , so I had to do like I did to her brother and show her how to smash it. She was taken with the painters tape we used to put up the background, so I balled some up and buried it in the cake, and then the real fun started lol 

By the end, there was cake smeared literally all over my living room hardwood and carpet, and the photographer just tossed the backdrop. It was so coated in icing and cake, it was hopeless. Good job, Keira! Haha that entire time, she refused to eat any actual cake, just like her brother. Obviously not my children LOL





Afterwards, right into the bath, another nap and then dinner and bed! Lol it was quite the day

Thursday we hit up a few stores after her morning nap, had some lunch, did some laundry and cleaning , went down for her afternoon nap and then got ready. We all headed out together and stopped at the library to return some books and get new ones for Garett , then we headed to the Boston pizza here in Orleans for a party. It was supposed to be a surprise dinner for my mother in law, but a bunch of people blew it, so it was just a nice dinner with a bunch of the family instead haha. It was a few others birthdays also, and of course Keira's that day, so Granny held her while they sang happy birthday and blew out candles together. Then in true family fashion, they lit the cake again so Garett could take his turn blowing out the candles too haha.




It was bedtime when we left the restaurant , so came home and changed everyone and right to bed for them. Ty and I were going to watch more of our new show (Ozarj) , but fell asleep haha. Rebels!

Today Keira and I have to run to the bank, then to the grocery store to get non-perishable stuff for Sunday, clean the main floor, and I will start decorating since the weekend seems jam packed already and the weather won't be so great. Yucky rain :(

I will end this by sharing my thoughts I shared yesterday for my baby's birthday :(

One year ago today, my heart grew. One year ago today , I was in a hospital, terrified I could never love another like I love your brother. Until I saw you, touched you , smelled you, my sweet girl. I hold you in my arms today with the same amount of awe as I had on that day. Though you are only one, you are a light in every room, a warm smile when I'm feeling down. The world is a better place with you in it; and I will spend my whole life helping you understand just how truly amazing and deeply loved you are. Happy birthday to my baby girl 💗🌸

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
