Randomness:

Babysitter slept in one morning, so I took the day off from work and took the kids to visit my parents. Garett had a swim with my dad

 Tyler went for an eye test, and had an allergic reaction to the dilating eye drops and was mostly blind for a short period. He had to wear these adjustable glasses until his vision returned to normal.
Took the kids to Canadian Tire to pick up a super exciting inflatable pool since the weather is just TOO hot. Also needed a propane refill.

With all of the too-hot days and mosquito sprays we had done, we finally squeezed in a bbq and got to eat outside!

This was Keira's first day at her new daycare. I was stressed right out when I took this picture. Things have been going well, and she has adjusted like a champ!


Almost done now, but started a new book on my downtime. I really am enjoying this read.
Keira has gotted a ton of use out of this pool



In between, we have been having alot of  get togethers with the neighbours. Seems that we alternate houses each Friday night. We have been waiting FOREVER to finally have a neighbourhood like this- people in our age range with kids of similar ages/interests, same mindset. Looking forward to all of the summers to come!

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. I deal mostly with logic and facts, and less with emotions; they think I would be good as an analyst (weird, since this is pretty well my role at work), and with numbers (which I also do all day at work lol). -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
