Weekend Recap
I got zero pictures this weekend. oops :)
Friday after work, I ran to the Superstore to pick up my order of groceries, and went to Swiss Chalet to pick up a quick dinner. When I got home, we ate and put the groceries away.
We have a TON of wood and cardboard to burn, so we ended up starting a fire around 7:00. The kids played with the neighbour and we sat around the fire with the neighbour adults and had a drink. Around 8:30 I put the kids to bed, and the neighbours went home. Tyler and I relaxed in the hot tub for a bit and then went inside for a snack and to watch some Dragons Den.
On Saturday, everyone slept in until about 8:00. We got up, made some breakfast for the kids and I headed out to the Outgrow Outplay sale at the EY center. I got a lot of fall clothes for the kids, which we needed (Pants for keira and sweaters, and long sleeve shirts for Garett), so now I have much less on my "to buy" list :) Afterwards, I ran to Walmart to pick up a photo order I placed on Friday (need to send a baby picture to Keira's daycare since they are playing a guessing game), and then went home to make lunch, put keira for a nap and get ready. Tyler finished the roof portion of the new garage section while she napped. We just have to put the siding and flashing on now :)
I popped in a quick mac and cheese casserole into the oven for dinner, and the neighbour came by around 4:15 to watch the kids. We went with the neighbours to Mandarin for dinner (yum) and ate too much-afterwards, we headed to Stray Dog Brewing company for their two year anniversary parking lot party where our other neighbour was playing. We had a few beers and listened to music (and played with all of the dogs that people brought). Afterwards, we went home and had a snack in the garage and a few more drinks before hitting the hay just before 1:00.
Sunday the kids didn't sleep in again, they were up around 7:00, so we made breakfast and lounged around for a bit. We played outside for a bit (I washed my car), and Ty had the guys over to play a tabletop game for a few hours starting at 11:00, so Garett hung out there with them ,and I got a nap when Keira went down. We had a quick visit from more neighbours with their new baby for some cuddles. When they left, we ordered Gabriel's for dinner, and we watched a movie together before baths and bed! It was a very calm way to end a busy weekend :)
Looking forward to another insanely hectic week here- c'est la vie. This is just my life now, I guess lol
