We Want to Know Wednesday! Christmas!!!!

Here are this week's questions and my answers:

What is your favorite cookie to eat? 
By far--Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip!! With a big glass of milk!!!! :)  But throw some shortbread in there for good measure and because it's the holidays! :)

Have you ever done a cookie exchange? 
Yes--well it was a "treat exchange". We do them at work--I am not doing it this year though because between all the shopping and baking I already have to do, I just dont have the time or patience for it this year.

How are you doing on your holiday shopping? 
Haven't really started. I have a couple small things right now but this Saturday and the 21st are my shopping days! Going to start baking soon too.

 
What is your holiday shopping style? (A little at a time, or power shopper? Early in the season or last minute? Online or part of the crowd?)
I usually like to start early so it's not such a big chunk of change coming out at once from my account. This way, everyone gets more gifts and I forget about them (my problem is I get too excited and want to give everyone their gifts right away--so by shopping early I forget by Christmas) lol. This year I slipped behind with the wedding and house renos I didnt have a chance to do it :( So I'm now stuck in the chaos of other peoples christmas' lol

And a random seasonal 3 part question...
Light displays...do you put them on your house? What is your style and your fave kind to see? 
This is the problem. Ty and I have very different Christmas styles--which is weird because we agree on everything else lol. He likes coloured lights and LOTS of them. I like white lights and just a certain amount--I like the clean, crisp look and how they glow under the snow. I find coloured lights look kind of cheap and tacky but I suppose its just personal preference. Needless to say, since my tree and all the inside decor is what I like, the outside is Tyler's domain . Guess what lights are up out there? hahaha He plans on putting more up too...With that said, he is doing it well and there isn't too many up yet right now and I dont mind how it looks :)

    I hear ya on the colored lights - not my favorite either - i have colored lights and I hate them...can't wait to take them down and start fresh next year! I also like clear!

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
