Happy Easter! :) We have been caught up here with Ty being gone to do endless estimates and catching up on dishes, laundry and Grey's Anatomy lol. I finally got out of the house for a bit on Wednesday to do groceries and when I got home Ty headed out to some estimates so I cleaned out the fridge while the baby slept and then started dinner. I made some meat lasagne with Caesar salad since we had some leftover bacon from breakfast the day before and garlic bread. We relaxed for the evening and cuddled with our little man. I appreciate even just an hour out of the house with Ty home and that's about as much as I can handle away from the baby right now. Anything more than that I am so distracted and just think about him--I'm hoping that's normal lol. Yesterday we got up and cleaned the house a bit--started our spring cleaning--laundry room was up first. Trying to empty that room out a bit so we can repaint the floor and rough out the bathroom we want to put in.Ty then ...

Where did this day fly by to???! Yesterday was Tyler's last day at the tradeshow. He walked away with a goal of 75 estimates, which is insane so he needs to spend the next week calling them and scheduling the estimates and then go back to sign whatever contracts...it's going to be a busy year...and not to mention the other 1000 business cards he handed out to people that showed some sort of interest while walking by. Who knows how many estimates will come out of that! I stressed out FOR him LoL So, it goes without saying that he was pretty excited yesterday. I knew he would be and I wanted to celebrate so I decided to get dressed nice (like I would if we went out) and cook a nice meal! I made some crusty bread with olive oil, garlic and oregano and some fettuccine with sautéed onions,garlic and mushrooms in a pesto sauce that I turned creamy and some butter grilled chicken sliced up on top. I had wanted to split a bottle of white wine with dinner but I forgot Sharon drank ...

The weekend is quickly approaching and it feels like the week is just beginning in our house. With Tyler participating in the 4 day Home Show, I am pretty much drained already. I don't know why because Garett sleeps almost through the night now (wakes up for one feeding, sometimes 2 between 11 and 7 am). I am just excited for Monday to get here LOL (sorry to all you people working). I am almost all caught up on laundry, just have to put it all away now :) And my wardrobe is really growing with it all starting to arrive in the mail :) I'm hoping by the time I'm all caught up on all the house work that the snow will melt a bit so Garett and I can take a trip to Cornwall or something to get out of the house while daddy is out :) When it's snowy or calling for snow or freezing outside I just have no desire to take him out :( Tuesday I have my follow up colposcopy at the hospital since last time I went I was 7 months pregnant and they didn't really want to do anything...

Enough with the snow! Enough with winter!!! Garett and I are more than ready to start venturing out for our fresh air and walks around the neighbourhood and out for shopping trips and such but this weather is just not awe-inspiring. It's too much of a pain to go out when we have to bundle him up from the top of his head to the tip of his toes and deal with crummy roads. So we are managing to find other ways to kill time at home! We get out a bit to go see Grandma and Grandpa in Cornwall and Granny and Grandpa in Orleans and then there's the doctors appointments and whatnot (he LOVES the car and usually falls asleep on the ride so we like to drive around :) ). At home there is ALWAYS laundry to do. This is not an exaggeration.I literally have a load of laundry of baby stuff to do everyday plus our clothes and towels and the bedsheets. Then there's always bottles to wash and sterilize, meals to cook, floors to sweep and mop, bathrooms to clean, carpet to vaccuum, groceries ...

It has been so long since I have been able to sit down and actually write anything. Routine is starting to set in over here so life is going slowly back to normal (not that it will ever be normal or boring again now lol). I've lost complete track of where I was in posts so I will just start from where I think of. I know I had said I would get pictures of the stuff I bought off of paper style.com for my cornwall baby shower, so I will start there! There is a picture of the invitation itself--outside and inside, The thank you cards--outside and inside, The registry cards and I also had ordered some return address stickers but didn't put them on since they have my address on it lol. Also a picture of the party favors I bought--little cardboard stoves with a cinnamon bun (candle) inside that says "bun in the oven" ...they were a big hit!
