Happy Easter! :)
We have been caught up here with Ty being gone to do endless estimates and catching up on dishes, laundry and Grey's Anatomy lol.
I finally got out of the house for a bit on Wednesday to do groceries and when I got home Ty headed out to some estimates so I cleaned out the fridge while the baby slept and then started dinner. I made some meat lasagne with Caesar salad since we had some leftover bacon from breakfast the day before and garlic bread. We relaxed for the evening and cuddled with our little man. I appreciate even just an hour out of the house with Ty home and that's about as much as I can handle away from the baby right now. Anything more than that I am so distracted and just think about him--I'm hoping that's normal lol.
Yesterday we got up and cleaned the house a bit--started our spring cleaning--laundry room was up first. Trying to empty that room out a bit so we can repaint the floor and rough out the bathroom we want to put in.Ty then cleaned the garage while I started by easter cake to bring to Easter dinner tonight.
I made it blue instead of pink though since for whatever reason the TWO packages of food colouring I have are both missing the red. WTF????? who took both of my red food colourings! LOL and instead of the carrot, I dyed some more coconut green and sprinkled it on the cookie crumbs to look like grass. it's so cute :)
After I made and finished decorating the cake, I started dinner (again!) lol. We had a pot roast with baked potatoes and green beans and watched an episode of Grey's we had been trying to get through ALL day but couldn't because the Bell guy came (twice), the Fedex guy came to drop off Ty's paint ball gun and other guns he ordered for other people, so those two guys came to pick up their guns too, and then canada post came with my new infinity ring I ordered :)Not to mention all the times the phone rang--it was impossible to get any Grey's in so we said screw it and saved it for dinner time! lol
Today, Ty is gone for the morning to do some more estimates. He called last night and left a message with the last one for today to reschedule so he can be home earlier. We are off to Cornwall later on to have our Easter dinner with my family :) So in the meantime once Garett goes down for his nap, I am going to grab a quick shower and start getting ready, pack up the diaper bag and wait for Ty to get home so we can leave!
Tomorrow evening is our friend Sharon's 50th birthday dinner in Aylmer. I haven't decided yet if I am ok leaving Garett alone for a few hours while we both go out. Or if I will just stay home with him and send Tyler off for dinner or if neither of us will go. *sigh* lol. I just don't like knowing how long I will be gone for. Also, if I'm gone for more than 2 hours Garett cries uncontrollably until I come back so...it could be rough lol.
Sunday is supposed to be Easter Dinner at Tyler's aunts house but I don't believe we're going there. If his mom isn't planning a small get together at her place, we will likely make a dinner here and invite them (and dolly/Mark obviously) out :)
Anyways, cutting this off here. Garett just fell asleep and I need to shower :)
