Enough with the snow! Enough with winter!!! Garett and I are more than ready to start venturing out for our fresh air and walks around the neighbourhood and out for shopping trips and such but this weather is just not awe-inspiring. It's too much of a pain to go out when we have to bundle him up from the top of his head to the tip of his toes and deal with crummy roads. So we are managing to find other ways to kill time at home! We get out a bit to go see Grandma and Grandpa in Cornwall and Granny and Grandpa in Orleans and then there's the doctors appointments and whatnot (he LOVES the car and usually falls asleep on the ride so we like to drive around :) ). At home there is ALWAYS laundry to do. This is not an exaggeration.I literally have a load of laundry of baby stuff to do everyday plus our clothes and towels and the bedsheets. Then there's always bottles to wash and sterilize, meals to cook, floors to sweep and mop, bathrooms to clean, carpet to vaccuum, groceries to shop for, putting laundry away, etc. It's literally a never ending jobs. 1) I don't know how single moms do it (though I do it mostly on my own now anyways with Ty having to go out for work and such) and 2) I don't know how women that go back to work or school or whatever after 6-8 weeks manage to juggle it all. I thought I would have so much free time to do stuff I want to do or that I would be bored at home but days can literally go by and I don't even notice that I haven't been out! I can't wait for summer so we can be home but at least either sit out on the patio or have some windows open!! Ty has a cold right now so I bought him some menthol bath salts (amazing) that really help clear out the chest congestion and clear up nasal passages. He's also been popping cold and sinus pills and Cold FX and I've been popping Vitamin C since I can't take cold FX while breast feeding :( So Garett and I just get as much sleep as possible and we seem to be avoiding it for now :) Today marks the first day of the 4 day homeshow that Tyler has a booth in! We are so excited about this and I am so proud of him :) The people that have booths there have told him they book up their entire seasons from this show, so that plus the work he already had lined up and the people that are always calling--it'll be a busy year. Business has been very good in the past, this year marks the beginning of the boom :) He is looking for some actual hard working, reliable, trainable guys that he can count on since out of all the years in the past he only has the 2 main guys he has now. Labourers are even hard to come by because everyone is lazy when it's 40 degrees outside lol But he's working on finding them and juggling all the accounting himself, sales, contracts, estimates, and all the home and garden shows he's planning. It will mean great things for us but I hope he finds more guys that he trusts so he isn't bogged down with handling all aspects of the business himself. This summer I can help him with paperwork stuff since I'm home but he needs a more permanent fix. We will BOTH need our vacation to Mexico at the end of the summer for different reasons LOL Here is his booth (minus some flowers from his cousins flower shop) On my down time at home I am completely addicted to online shopping lol. The re is a Purolator, FedEX, UPS, Canada Post guy here almost everyday--it's bad lol. But I guess it's ok since I am replacing my wardrobe slowly. I am losing weight and I don't love all of my clothes anymore so I threw out the stuff I didn't like or was too big and am buying a new wardrobe--shoes, purses, clothes, everything! I thought since I'm a mom now I need a new style/to look more mature :) Currently, I am living in jogging pants and tank tops but it'll be nice to have new clothes and lots of outfit possibilities when I start going out again :) I got the new Blackberry Z10 (black one)a month or so ago and I LOVE it. It's similar to the iphone but apparently has a better processor or something? I forget what the techie I was talking to before I bought it said LOL but the beauty of it is that I can still BBM with my mom and didn't have to call and change my plan since I have the BB valuepack on there that makes it cheaper than if I had to have another plan. Plus, the phone was a lot cheaper than the new iphone 5 which was my deciding factor for me since I'm cheap lol. Here's a picture :) We have recently also changed our internet from Bell to Rogers (We have Bell everything else still) but we had upgraded to the best internet Bell had and it kept dropping--only to find out they sold us this internet package and our area doesn't have the capability to carry that internet so it kept dropping (VERY annoying) so after like 6 service calls of guys coming out to try and diagnose the problem with that as a result we said screw this and got Rogers who DOES have that speed available out here (and it's actually twice as good as the best Bell internet--our internet is so insanely fast now!). HOWEVER (lol theres always a however for us!), the Rogers guys screwed up our garage door and it stopped working--so we had one of Ty's friends who works with garage doors over last night to fix it so we can invoice Rogers at their request (good). It's all good now but this guy just WOULDN'T leave lol. I had just finished making banana chocolate chip muffins and started the tacos for dinner when he got here. He came in to visit and talk babies since his wife is due on Monday and I guess he lost track of time because our food was nearly cold by the time he left lol. I don't mind people visiting but I HATE when people dont know their cue to leave lol. Unless we have an agreement that you're sleeping over or something there's usually a time to leave lol...when my food is sitting out getting cold it's time to go lol. We started Season 7 of Grey's Anatomy over again (the last season we own) so that we can use the Apple TV I bought Ty for his birthday (late late LATE gift lol). The seasons are blu ray quality and are like half the price to buy. Then its in our itunes and we can watch whatever we buy on the computer, our ipads, phones, any tv, etc. You can also buy movies, music, games, etc. It's awesome--I'm excited to have this since it'll make car trips when Garett stays awake in the car better--especially once there's more than one kid in the car! :) lol Yesterday we headed into town for our "6 week" checkup with Dr. McCarthy. My checkup was done at 8 weeks because he always takes his christmas holidays in Feb/March because I guess christmas is his busy time at the hospital delivering babies. We stopped and bought him a very nice Spanish red wine on the way in and gave it to him as a thank you. He was so appreciative since it's apparently a wine he's very familiar with he said--he said he hasnt been able to find that one in the store in a while so he thought they discontinued it- so glad we got him something he likes! phew! I asked him again to be Garett's pediatrician since we all get along so well but he finally told us he's getting rid of that half of his practise and only doing obstetrics until he retires since he LOVES delivering babies. He says he's aiming to retire in the next 3-5 years which has sent us into panic mode and we will likely plan to have another in our arms in about 2 years so that we don't miss the Dr. McCarthy boat LOL. He is looking forward to seeing us again in about a year he said lol. I think I will be happy with 2. Ty is convinced we will have 3 but I don't think I want another after if Dr. McCarthy is not the one doing it for us and what I say rules! hehe Well the baby is sleeping and the dryer just shut off so I guess I should go switch over the loads and get some laundry put away and make something for lunch! Hope everyone has a great Thursday and for those of you at work, tomorrow is Friday! Almost the weekend ! :D lol
