Rainy Day in the Capital

Look at me! 2 days in a row!!*Warning this post is incredibly random* Days like this get me feeling so tired and gloomy. Tyler is home from work today, taking a break with the wet weather, so him and G were sleeping in today--like it wasn't hard enough to drag my butt out of bed, it's overcast and rainy. The rain held off mostly for my drive in, and now it's just pouring down. I had a plan to walk to the grocery store up the road for lunch today, but I suppose the cafe downstairs will do :) Ty has a few estimates to go do tonight, so I will finally have a moment to relax when I get home and actually think for longer than 2 minutes about what to make for dinner, before I get a cranky hungry toddler and a husband asking "What's for dinner?". Last night was beautiful weather. When G woke up from his nap, we all went outside. I tossed up a salad, made some green beans with pancetta and we bbq'd some chicken and put some homemade guacamole on top..pretty good for such a fast meal! G LOVED the chicken--I should have made a whole breast for him--and licked all the butter and pancetta off the green beans before eating them haha (the kid knows what's important, what can I say). We ran around outside for a bit, had his bath, did my shower, Tyler had a bath and I laid out mine and G's clothes before we all passed out from exhaustion. I activated my spiffy new bank card this morning on my way to work--my other one expires next week, and it was looking pretty grungy--now I will look less like a shopaholic when I swipe my card :) I'm dying for some chicken fajitas--possibly dinner tonight? This post is so random, and in horrible order--such is life with interruptions, I suppose! I got a new dress from Rickis that I obsessed over for a few hours, since it was originally $80 I held off..went down to $70, then it went on sale for 40% off...so I bought it for $36 :)...anyways it comes in the mail last night and it's a horrible oversized sack with no shape. I love summertime commuting--the roads are still busy but not as congested..so much easier getting to and from work :) I've been picking G up before 4 lately. It's awesome! I wanted to do a nice long post about some of my fav things, but the system isn't letting me upload any pics right now for whatever reason :( Will save it for another day! Have a good one, all!
