Life lately
too much has happened since I last wrote a post, I can't even remember it all. So instead of a recap, here is a point form of things I can remember!
- Christmas happened. I found it incredibly stressful but fun. I'm a worry wart, so down to the final detail , I stress. Once it's all over , I can relax and say that it was fun! Lol
- then there was New Years. We had plans to go to a friends place, but with the kids, and the time the party started, we passed and decided to host a little shindig here. So I made a bacon cheddar dip, ham ball, a pot of chilli, had garlic bread and all that stuff, and sausage rolls. I stayed up late, but wasn't too bad the following day, we just took turns taking a nap.
- we went to look at model homes, and I think we found the builder we like best. But after looking at the market again, we are conflicted. Time will tell. If we go the building route, it takes a year to get into the house , so we will see.
- i took Garett to the movies to play arcade games and see the movie Sing. We left halfway through because it was so long and very boring for him. But it was a nice time out of the house with gman and mommy.
-I stock piled baby purees. Apple, pears, bananas, avocado, sweet potato, carrot, squash and peas.
- Keira started pablum last week and did very well on it for 7 days. Yesterday, she started on sweet potato. Yes, we got the doctors go ahead. And she gobbles it up. She's going to be a wonderful quick eater, judging by the experiences so far.
- Keira made the shift last week to her crib at night, and has slept for 11-12 hours in there every night. I have my evenings back :). They are both in do do land by 8:15 at the latest.
- everything is set for Garett's party on the weekend. Presents wrapped, loot bags assembled, cake being delivered, pizza money ready, grocery list still needs to be checked off, decorations ready to be put out, and a surprise guest confirmed !
- Tyler and I got out with our friends rod and Sharon to go for a delicious dinner at Moxies. We visited while my MIL came over to watch the kids. We were in time to put them to bed ourselves, and then had a few other friends come join us. We played speak out and drinkopoly and stayed up way too late. I had two and a half hours of sleep. But , self inflicted, so whatever lol
- Tyler went for a vasectomy on Monday. Is that tmi? Lol I don't know. But for a full week (yes even during his bday party), he can't lift Anything and shouldn't stand much. It's been a real joy bringing g to and from daycare with Keira and doing all of the cooking and cleaning and laundry and bottles and diapers and playing. Didn't realize how much ty did. But now, it will feel like a vacay when he's back on his feet. He's doing well though, no real pain or anything. Just sore and walking like cowboy ahah
- we went to a friends daughters second birthday party. They have two older boys as well , so Garett disappeared with them to play,and has been talking about their impressive nerf gun collection since lol we only knew the people hosting the party , so it was nice to get out and make some new friends also.
-since Christmas, I watched American Housewife and all of the oc. Just going to catch up on this is us, teen mom, Nashville, and wait for the fosters and Jane the virgin to come back on During this month, then PLL comes march or something. I think I will start binge watching another show, or rewatching something else, I don't know lol
- we celebrated the 11th anniversary of our first date.
- ty and I managed to get out on a lunch date at the mandarin one day while looking at model homes, my MIL watched Keira while we went that day and looked at as many as we could.
I took down all Christmas stuff dec 28.
- got all of Garett's paperwork ready to register him. I don't think we will make it this week with Tyler being immobile. But next for sure ☺️ I have mixed feelings.

OMG I love American Housewife, you just reminded me that I have to catch up. She kills me, I love her!
