Life lately

i will eventually get on top of this blogging thing again. Until then, random point form posts! Lol

-Garett's party went well! I will do a post on it later I think
-Keira is doing well on purees. So far she has had oatmeal pablum, sweet potato and pears. Going to start peas tonight.
-I have been binge watching Suits. I'm halfway through season 5, and am deeply obsessed. An intellectual show based in a law firm with well built characters and chemistry. Love it.
-we had a double date night on Saturday with some new friends. Tyler has known the husband for a while, but other than in bigger groups, I have never had a chance to really talk to his wife. We really hit it off. Looking forward to seeing them more.
-Tyler and I went to Big Easy's bourbon house/speakeasy, which is also a seafood and grill (obviously with a creole twist) for a drink before dinner. We looked over the menu too. We will be back! What a great atmosphere and crew they have there!
-dinner was at trattoria caffe italia. We used to love this place. We won't be back probably. It wasn't up to par with what we have come to expect from them.
-we were home around 10, and in bed around 11.
-Sunday Garett and I took a run to visit my parents, came home and picked up some dinner, played , gave baths and bed. G had a heck of a time falling asleep, so I cuddled with him for a few minutes until he drifted off , and went to bed.
- we started back with our clean eating 80% vs 20% unclean. Gives us room to treat ourselves and have good meals the rest of the time. When we do this , it ups our grocery bill by another $250 a month, but we save money on random ordering in andbeating out , so I guess it is all relative.
-we finally got our flights booked, and care for the kids worked out for our trip back to the Dominican. We also booked our excursions. For a while we were looking for people to go with, but we have never been anywhere alone yet, and we are looking forward to it now that we thought that through.
-I bought Keira a new 6-9 month wardrobe and am spending my day figuring out what I need for Garett to get him through until august to go "back to school" shopping!! Wahhh
-Tyler got some really good news from a major pool company, so he's pretty excited.
-next weekend we may host Tyler's family for dinner for his birthday, and Sunday is my date day with Garett :)

I think that's it for now ! I can't think of what else we have been up to lol

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. I deal mostly with logic and facts, and less with emotions; they think I would be good as an analyst (weird, since this is pretty well my role at work), and with numbers (which I also do all day at work lol). -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
