Weekend at a glance

oh my God. This week....I can't say I'm sad to see it go. It started out so well. The kids were angels, we were getting full nights sleep still, long naps, the house was spotless.

Flash forward to today. The house is a disaster again, and Keira had two days of not so great naps, and one night of terrible sleep. Last night was infinitely better, but I am SO so tired. It was so bad the other night , that ty texted me the following morning saying "thank you for everything you do" because he knew how much I had to get up , and that everytime it took me 20 mins to get her back to sleep lol.

Anyways, things are going much better now, and we are looking forward to another fun weekend :)

I bought some really nice Filet Mignons for dinner tonight and made up a container of veggies to stir fry with leftover chicken (zucchini, cauliflower , peppers, broccoli, carrots). I also washed some potatoes , sliced them, and wrapped them up with some garlic and butter and paprika. So we will dine well--hopefully I can cook the steaks properly to have it ready for the boys when they get home!

Tomorrow morning, I booked 18 holes and a golf cart at a golf course Ty likes with his best friend as a Father's Day gift. Then he can open his other gifts when he gets home. I threw some beef sirloin I chopped into chunks on some kebabs and they are marinating now, so we will grill those tomorrow night (Father's Day weekend always =lots of red meat lol) and I will make some aromatic rice and some asparagus with hollandaise. I also have some of his favorite beers chilling. He works so hard to make sure we have everything we need and want, and still finds time to be a wonderful daddy, so I like to do special things for him a lot, but even more so on days like fathers day.

Sunday, on actual Father's Day, we are heading to visit my dad and bring him the gift I bought him in Orillia, when we visited a little native reserve in washago. Since he has everything he wants/needs already,it's more of an inside joke gift. I saw it and had to buy it lol

Shannon showed me a flyer for a garden day thing here, and we wanted to hit up the picnic part, but definitely won't be able to make it, so I think I might make up our own basket, and have a picnic in the backyard, if it's nice! If it's warm, we can hook up Gs new sprinkler from my mom when she was here visiting and fill the water table and pool and all that! (Praying for a gorgeous weekend weatherwise!)

Yesterday and today I have been busy burning a hole in my paypal. So much so that I had to call and unfreeze the account because the bank flagged it for fraud haha. I had to finish getting everything I needed for between July 15 and sept 18, so I don't have to worry about unforeseen expenses (or minimize them, anyways ).

For Garett:
- sportchek order was a bunch of clothes and three different kinds of sneakers (one for inside, one for outside and one put for gym class).
-from Old Navy: 20 new pairs of socks and another baseball hat I got on a good sale.
-from children's place: a ton of underwear , sized up one six
- from Zulily, a new rain coat

For Keira:
-from Old Navy: 3 new pairs of shoes , sized up socks, a bunch of pants, dresses, onesies and another swimsuit
-from Carters : more onesies , long sleeved shirts, tank tops, a pair of fall boots , a pair of walker shoes, sweaters, and some outfit sets
-from souris Mini: two knit beanie hats for fall, and a plush onepiece for cooler weather in fall to wear over clothes.
-from Amazon: a big order of diapers and formula
-from the Bay: 2 London Fog fall jackets
- from Party City: all of her birthday decorations and balloons.

For me:
-from Rickis: a few pairs of dress pants for when I go back to work
-from ardene : 6 new pairs of shoes (a mix of casual slip on sneaker types, flats and wedges.) I actually love their shoe selection, and is a bit cheaper than Spring

I knocked off most of my list! I only have a few things left to buy. I don't have much going for me, but being prepared is one thing I do have! Haha

Happy Friday, everyone!!
