Today I am loving... ....Tyler has a rehearsal tonight for his gig on Saturday. I love weeknights in alone with the kids! snacks and a movie until bed! They think it's a super fun/special thing (which it is) PLUS it's so easy to manage and they get sleepy just laying there. The last time I did this, I carried garett to bed lol ...Speaking of gigs, Tyler's on the downslope for the spring/summer months. Only the gigs he took with the Disco band (because they pay well and are shorter) still on the roster. He just quit the French folky band he was playing with today. Our schedules are about to get nuts, so good choice! And I didn't even have to tell him it was time :) He's growing up! (I raised him well LOL) ...Work is CRAZY with doing two jobs, but it's winding down, and I'm settling into my new role pretty well! ..."Stuff" has been flying out my door left, right and center :) Woohoo! Happy Tuesday morning! It was such a nice weekend. I could get used to this quiet time in! Friday evening, we didn't do much! Tyler grabbed the kids, and I made some homemade chicken fingers, and French fries and made some corn on the cob with it for the kids (I cannot wait for sweet sweet sweet fresh corn). For us, we made a bbq chicken and spinach pizza (yum). We finished catching up on the episodes we haven't seen yet from this season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and then Tyler ran out to grab some snacks, so we could watch a movie (we didn't end up watching a movie). It was baths, and early to bed all around instead! lol Saturday we were up around 7, Tyler made a big breakfast for us all. While he was cooking, the kids and I played with playdough and did some painting. After we finished up breakfast and cleaned up, we all went down to the basement, and I organized the rest of my barbies I washed (brushed their hair/dressed them), and Keira played endlessly with them. I am so happy to see another weekend come to a close. Especially this week. POINT FORM: -I am happy to be done with writing work exams and inbox exercises for now. I made it into a few pools, got my promotion, and am waiting to be appointed. -I registered for another course at Carleton (Psychology of Motivation and Emotion), and am excited to start on May 7. -Garett went to the museum of nature with his class on Wednesday (and got to ride on the school bus for the first time ever ...he was beside himself with excitement). Tyler left his business card with them the day before, because with the weather, he was able to volunteer after all, but they mentioned they were all full with volunteers , but would call if he was needed. Someone that had volunteered never showed up, so they gave him a last minute call, so he got to go. I am so jealous :( - I am loving the "milder" weather (It's crazy its mid march, and still no relief in sight). We have started up our evening...

It was a very quiet, extra-long weekend !  Friday night we were supposed to go out, get a sitter and go watch Tyler’s cousin on his solo gig. We had lots to celebrate. Shannon got her French levels, and I got a promotion, and many job offers/invites to more processes to write exams—it was a “hopping” short week. But we decided to be financially savvy and cancel the sitter—each night we don’t go out, we save $60 on the sitter, $40 of Uber’s, and whatever our food and drink tab would have been. So Tyler went out for a bit to watch (after the kids were in bed), grabbed  some food and came home. We watched some tv and went to sleep.  The kids were pooped from their corresponding Easter parties.
