What I'm loving Wednesday
Today I am loving...
....Tyler has a rehearsal tonight for his gig on Saturday. I love weeknights in alone with the kids! snacks and a movie until bed! They think it's a super fun/special thing (which it is) PLUS it's so easy to manage and they get sleepy just laying there. The last time I did this, I carried garett to bed lol
...Speaking of gigs, Tyler's on the downslope for the spring/summer months. Only the gigs he took with the Disco band (because they pay well and are shorter) still on the roster. He just quit the French folky band he was playing with today. Our schedules are about to get nuts, so good choice! And I didn't even have to tell him it was time :) He's growing up! (I raised him well LOL)
...Work is CRAZY with doing two jobs, but it's winding down, and I'm settling into my new role pretty well!
..."Stuff" has been flying out my door left, right and center :) Woohoo! My house looks semi-chaotic right now with "to toss" "to sell" "to donate" boxes everywhere. But it's a work in progress, and I know that at the end, it will be minimalistic heaven!
...groceries tonight or tomorrow night? I don't know, but they need to get done, and I kind of love the hour of grocery shopping on weeknights ! (getting home and unloading, not so much--but at least I cleaned out the fridge the other day!!)
...Making a day party plan with Shannon for mothers day weekend. Because I imagine in 4 weekends, I will want/deserve a break! lol
...eyelash appointment on Saturday morning. I may take a break after this fill. A BUNCH of ladies at work get them done obsessively, and I just don't want to be like that lol. The original plan was to only do it before my trips. Not to keep it going lol. So after this, I'll let them go until before my trip in December :)
...how much keira is talking. Her new favourite word is "de-wish-ish" (delicious), and she loves to say "oh, come on!". She is talking so much. Garett was an early talker as well, but it just seems earlier this time-she's only 20 months old, and knows her ABC's, counts to 10, sings along to songs she knows, knows some colours and shapes, etc ,etc...it's wild!
...I love that Garett is pretty good at "reading" now. We have been working hard on our sight words, and learning how to sound things out phonetically. He is doing so well! I will graduate him to very short readers on his own soon, to work on. My little baby geniuses.
...Less than three weeks until my psychology course starts! I'm excited to hit the ground running, and get into some kind of work/school/family life stride.
...loving subway lately. I seriously cannot get enough. I am VERY hot and cold with subway--sometimes the thought of it absolutely turns my stomach. This week: we are a hot item. lol
