Thursday Thoughts
Not a whole lot interesting going on in my life lately!
-Last night I did a big grocery run, but still feels like we don't have ALOT. How can $275 translate to a still partially empty fridge? I also stopped for gas, and appreciate the price of gas right now :)
-I grabbed some quick food on the way home (was 6:30 by the time I got home last night), and ate that. I bought extra because I assumed the kids and Tyler would want something more to nibble on since they ate at 4:30.
-I ordered all of the lunch lady lunches for the rest of the school year! Still waiting for the new Milk Program and Pizza Day items to be released on the school cash online.
- Garett's birthday decorations arrived yesterday, and my travel sized shampoos and stuff. Checking things off the list and starting to feel on top of things again.
-Did a bit of work on my laptop sitting in bed watching "Instant Hotel" last night after the kids went to bed.
-Ty went into work around 1AM this morning, and he was up until 10:30 with me. He's crazy--then he had an appointment at 8:30. Guess he will sleep all day!
- This weekend we have a birthday party for our friend/neighbours daughter. It'll be nice to see all of the ladies again, since I haven't seen them since we went to the medieval ball thing.
- I want to get a bit more house stuff done this weekend (like FINISH a room..or two..or three) so we can start the next.
-I have ordered all of my new bathing suits, shoes, dresses, cover-ups, sunglasses for our trip; just waiting on them to arrive. I made my packing list and will work on the kids packing lists. I like to make sure we have all the bases covered before I start throwing things in bags. 45 days away still.
- Beavers starts again tonight for Garett after the three weeks off for the Christmas season, and the two weeks he missed before that because of Terry's passing. He is eager to get back.
- I cannot believe Garett will be SIX in 15 days :( He is getting big way too fast!!! He read two books to his class yesterday. We keep getting pulled aside when we drop him off/pick him up by teachers that cannot believe it. I knew he was early at reading, but I remember reading in grade 1 (I think?), and Ty was pretty young too, so maybe he just got lucky having two brilliant parents LOL But we have been reading a ton to him/with him since day one. He really took an interest in learning how to spell words and in the car on the way to school, I always played the game of "Spell:XXXX" and would give him a word I thought he could phonetically spell easily, and after that it all just happened so fast! Now if I could just get Keira out of diapers! I'll cut her some slack since she's 2 lol
- I am looking for a hotel in Buffalo so we can get those reservations made soon. But I also want to see if there's anything else worth doing while we are there, or if we should jump over to Ohio for the Jason Mraz concert the following night. This is a fun way to pass time that doesn't involve online shopping on my lunch hour.
Hope you are all doing well!
