Weekend Catch-Up

It was a jam packed weekend, and it was so much fun!
Wednesday after work, I came home to a COLD house. The AC was finally fixed! We decided to celebrate by making some yummy chocolate cupcakes (my helper and I)

Thursday I worked from home, but was stuck on conference calls most of the day, so I feel like I didnt get to catch up on any house stuff (usually I'll run some laundry and clean the kitchen). Oh well!

Friday I was off for the day (I booked it when I thought we were going to the cottage), so I dropped off the kids and went to spend the day in Cornwall with my family. It was so nice to just be able to hang out with them without the interruption of my kids (I love them to death, but it was a nice break), and to sit down to a meal with just my sister and do some shopping (we probably havent done this since Garett was a baby).

She sent home some clothes for the kids, and Keira could not wait to put this dress on, go figure! lol

That evening, I packed everyones bags, and we were all ready to go for the rest of the weekend.
We put the kids to bed and then our neighbours son came over to babysit and make sure no one woke up. We headed to our neighbours (his parents) house, as their uncle was in town from Newfoundland. We had a bonfire, listened to the boys play some music on the guitars, ate lots of mango salsa and chips, and headed home around midnight.

Saturday morning we were up bright and early, loaded up the car, headed to the Superstore to pack the cooler, hit A&W for breakfast, and Ty went to pick up his aunt to bring to his moms house, and his cousin to come with us. We headed up to one of his aunts  cottages for a cousins night in Gracefield, QC.

We were a small group (in retrospect of how many cousins there are), but it was so much fun!

Sunday morning we woke up around 7:30, and visited for a bit before heading out. We stopped in Wakefield with a few cousins to have some Tim Hortons and then headed back. We picked Keira up around 12:30 and headed home with her, leaving Garett behind to swim (more). We all took a short nap (well, mine was short--Tyler and Keira's was NOT lol) and then I showered and headed into town to grab Garett and go to the superstore for some groceries.

I picked up Swiss Chalet for dinner, and we headed home. The kids were POOPED out, ate supper, had a bath and played briefly before they became bumps on the log and begged to go to bed.

This morning, we were up at the usual weekday morning time, fed the kids, dressed them and dropped them off. Then remembering that I forgot Keira's naptime stuff, so I drove home and back and realized I also had left my work computer at home, so had to go back yet again and then headed to work. It was a LONG morning. All the while rushing for a very important meeting that was scheduled, which turned out to be cancelled once I arrived. At least I don't have a speeding ticket on top of it all  :)

This morning, I registered for another course at Carleton. Here we go again! lol I start on September 4.

On Wednesday, we have an appointment to meet our new family doctors. I have high hopes :)

This week, I have to make my to-do list for school stuff (ie label clothes and shoes, wash the new containers, etc), and also a to-pack list for the kids and I for our upcoming trek to Toronto next weekend.

We let our house cleaner go because she was so unreliable and inconsistent, so we have a few quotes to get this week and next also. There's a lot going on, but this seems to be the case each summer as things come to a close.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and enjoys the week ahead!
