Guess we could start off today with a little weekend recap! :)
Since Friday was Remembrance Day, us Government working folk got it as a holiday. In the morning I did a bit of laundry and watched a bit of the ceremonies on TV. After the moment of silence, I got dressed and headed into Ottawa to go to Rickis. I needed a new pair of black dress pants and a nice top since it was a night out for me and Ty that night :) I had to rush back to Embrun because I had my hair appointment at 1:00! I made it jusstttt in time :) I have to say, I love it there! it's my new hangout :) Expensive hangout, but at least I'll look better for it! haha I coloured my hair a dark shade of brown and cut 7 inches off. All of the dead hair is officially LONG gone! She said my hair is so healthy now so I can grow it out again and as long as I keep up with trims it should be thick and shiny.
I guess the girl that usually does the resin nails wasn't there that day since she had a lung infection, so I made my appointment for 10:30 the next day and went on my way home. As soon as I got home (was 3:30 by then), I got dressed and did my makeup and we headed right out! There was literally NO wait at The Keg so we got such a nice spot :) We each ordered a drink (Ty tried their new basil drink and I had a glass of Chardonnay) and ordered my favourite "Mushrooms Neptune" which is button mushrooms in an escargot dish with cream cheese and crab sauce baked in with it. Ty had a prime rib dinner and I had a sirloin steak and baked potato. For dessert we split a brownie Sundae and left too full to breathe! lol
Then we headed to the west end and picked up Ty's tow truck! He was so excited :) He hooked up his pickup in the back and we drove home. We watched "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" when we got home--it's originally subtitled but we changed it to the english translation--once you get passed the dubbed over talking, it was actually a really good movie!! I have The Girl Who Played with Fire book and now I'm excited to finish reading Wicked to get to it!
Saturday morning we woke up and I made sausage, eggs, homefries and toast and we watched some tv. We did some organizing and I went to get my nails done. Then we had a nap and showered and got ready to head out to Tyler's cousin Melissa's house for a little cousins night. It was fun :) We just snacked and visited, she gave us the tour of her new home and we played a bit of Scattergories (with a few minor disagreements lol). Around 10:30 we took off and went to meet Ty's friend Gibby for a coffee. I sat in Shannon's car and visited with her while the boys talked. Then we headed home again and went pretty well right to bed!
Sunday, I woke up and cleaned like a crazy woman, hanging up more clothes, sweeping, doing dishes, etc. My parents arrived around 10 and we put up some more stuff on the walls, organized some shelves/unpacked a few boxes, and went to look around the hardware store. Then we went to eat at the new Hardstone's Grill in Embrun--it was ok--too much food on your plate but was decently priced! :)
Ty came home from paintball shortly after that and my parents headed home. Spent the rest of the evening catching up on some PVR stuff and relaxing! I tried to upload the pictures of the progress of the house on facebook but it wasn't working so I gave up! :(
Bringing us to the ever dreaded Monday morning! Our bus was about 35 minutes late this morning. The bus driver turned the wrong way off the highway this morning and so, we were 35 minutes late getting on the bus. Good Morning to us! haha
