Monday:Head on

Our Sunday was very laid back. We hung out with our little dude, I made Shepards Pie for dinner, finally (I've been meaning to for like a week now). I made it like Ty likes it (with only cream corn as veggies) but with a little twist of spices, and it turned out really well. 

I have to say, I really like this fall back in time. Garett was fast asleep by 9pm and I got some laundry put away, cleaned up our room, changed out all the sheets, cleaned around the kick splash tiles (is that what they're called? The tiles between the floor and the cupboards) and put away some toys that were laying out. We watched a bit of the food network before bed and then passed out! 

I am feeling really disorganized right now--I have so much to do that gets put off from day to day. I still have yet to call service canada, I have to go into service Ontario to fix Garett's health card (yah--thanks for binging us really important forms for us to fill out in the middle of the night after Garett was born, when we are sleep deprived--his health card says Jan 24 and not 25th...oops--daddy's fault though), I still have to legally change my last name (not looking forward to how much work this will be with letting everyone know--credit cards, cell phone account, work, etc), I have to start packing and getting our travel docs together, we have to get to the lawyer to have them sign off on our wills to make them legal , I have to start Christmas shopping, I have to get to put all the clothes in the cubby's in Garett's room to vacuum seal them away, make more baby food (I hate this make it as I use it that I have been doing), etc--there's just a lot on my todo list I have come to realize. But for now, I am happy just getting by day to day--groceries, errands, clean, play, change diapers , do feedings, cook dinner---the more important stuff is done :) 

Today Garett woke up at 7:40 and Ty headed out to work for a bit, I made some delicious fluffy pancakes with a new recipe and Garett andi have been playing our little hearts out. I assume he will nap soon :) seems weird now that his naps are so early, but we will get used to it! It's the spring ahead time change I dread lol.

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
