2014!*



I struggle every year to remember to write the new date. Pretty normal I think. But I also catch myself still writing "1999" too...I'm loving in the past apparently lol.

Point form thoughts: 

It is CRAZY cold out there today--and I'm not happy about all the snow they're calling for on Sunday/Monday. I just want nice clear roads for my back to work arrival lol. I will drive the first few days since I have some stuff to bring back (boxes) and while I figure out my internal struggle with red and white limo (city buses) or coach busses since the schedules are a bit different, I want to know which works best for me.

I'm Almost all caught up on washing cups from our NYE party. Next house :dish washer mandatory.

Our spare room still looks like toy land with unopened toys 

Garett tried eggs for the first time this morning. They were devoured. Guess he liked them. I can't wait to see him try cake lol

I need groceries. Bad.

Going to make some picco de gallo today as a throwback to Mexico. We fell in love with this salsa there yum.

Chicken pesto penne is on the menu tonight.

I may or may not have bought a few outfits as a back to work gift for myself lol

Today feels like a movie day. We will probably watch The Butler since it's finally out on Apple TV. 

I really have nothing new to share, so off I go!:) have a fantastic day, everyone!

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
