Workitty,work,work
That's right, folks. It was back to work for me this week.
Since Monday was a write off and I was home, Tuesday I woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed--until the 1 hour and 45 minute drive into work quickly shut me the hell up. Construction mixed with a bunch of poor drivers...bad way to start off. But work is good. The break was nice. I enjoy going. I enjoy talking to adults. I like all of the new people I've met so far.
I don't like :
"It must be hard to be back, you must miss your son". Thanks for reminding me. Yes I miss him, no duh. Yes it's hard, double duh.
"Do you have any pictures?"...no. I have zero pictures ever of my own child. Of course I have pictures, but unless you want to see all 328 just on my phone from this week, don't bother asking.
"Wow that went fast!" ....damn right it went fast. Maybe I should go home then.
"Where is he today?"..... Omg!!!where is my kid?! I know exactly where he is, but that doesn't mean you need to--cut the small talk and get on with it lol
"When are you going to have another?"....I've barely had a chance to put away the monster hospital pads before this one started... and you want me to pop out another pronto? Tell me again how this question has ever been helpful. When I feel like not taking Advil, not having a glass of wine, not having soft drinks, not eating whatever I want, having terrible sleeps and dreams, wearing maternity clothes and struggling to get shoes on again--that's when :).... But instead, I just say "soon" LOL
On the upside, G went to daycare for the first time today for a few hours. My husband said as soon as he got there, the older boy was completely taken with him--bff's now I guess lol. He didn't even cry when Ty left, he was so into the other little humans and toys.
Then my babysitter messaged me to let me know he was having a blast with the kids and that he's a good little dancer (lol, I knew that). And posted a picture if him playing with a little plane :) that's my boy.
Tyler picked him up at noon when the others were getting ready to go to for a nap. He was informed Garett made a craft today, but we would have to wait to take it home since it was "covered in glue" loll loll like mother , like son. I always went nuts with glue too lol. And all the kids came and yelled "bye Garett" and I guess he was waving bye back....pretty sure if he could talk he would be begging to go back ASAP. I'm so happy he likes it, but also so happy I came home to my big boy smiling and running (his version of it anyways) to me. God I love him.
He's down for a nap right now, which makes me a bit sad--like an hour eaten out of my time with him. I'll make sure Tyler naps him before I get home from now on lol
Anyways, nothing else to report, have a good night everyone :)
