Seriously though...

7.5 more sleeps ! (I only count the sleep on the 17th as half a sleep since I have to be up at like 3am to be at the airport for 4am and will be too excited to sleep after a stressful day at work and a long drive to and from cornwall)...I could just hammer that down to actually 7 more sleeps, I guess haha.

I am ALL packed. Aside from my phone and chargers and exchanging of money at the bank. Tyler, not so much. He hasn't started and it's freaking me out. So I packed his toiletries for him this weekend. So he has a pathetic shaving kit sitting in his suitcase WITH NOTHING ELSE. You guys, this seriously bothers me. For someone so attentive and punctual, how can he put off packing with only a week to spare!!!!? (I know I'm the irrational one, since packing will literally take him 15 minutes. It's just not the same for men).

I am successfully thinning out our house of crap I never use. I feel good. This weather makes me want to stay home ALL day EVERY day and air out the horrible winter germs (thanks for the stuffy nose, mother nature--it better get lost by the weekend!), and put things into boxes to sell or donate and organize each and every spec of the house.

June is forming up to be FULL of girls time and I can't WAIT. This momma needs a serious break from being a momma. Tyler's schedule will be a bit cooler for May (and hopefully June, though it looks like June will be busy--but he will have to accommodate MY schedule for once (patience, grasshoppers--when you are a very supportive wife, and you ask for so few things, you get what looks like a month off, as a reward! :))

June 3--trying to get tickets for Ed Sheeran. This better work.
Potentially June 5-7 Calabogie for our new annual "Girls Weekend" (no stinky boys allowed--they get their fishing derby bi-annually...where they get even stinkier!!)
June 27- Shania Twain (touring North America on her LAST tour ever) with the girls.
Then to make up for all the time I'll be away from G, I have the week of July 27-31 off with him :) Planning fun stuff to do! Which will most definitely consist of a splash pad, perhaps the Children's Museum, definitely ice cream, and probably endless hours of play outside!!. Seriously, I missed the sun and warmth and SUMMER. Even thinking of it puts me in a better mood!

We are tossing around the idea of a Mike the Knight show at Centerpointe on April 5. Even if G doesn't make it through the whole thing, I think he would enjoy it, and the shows are pretty cheap. It was Ty's idea, so I'll let him make the arrangements :) We are also keeping our eyes open for a Monster Truck show--Garett's newest obsession--Monster Trucks --so I will also have to find a pair of those sound cancelling kids headsets, since Monster Trucks is not the quietest hobby!

I really want a Passion Planner (this is MY new obsession lol). I've realised I have too much floating through my mind at all times--I feel like I have three jobs. So, I need this to keep my life straight. I will carry it around wherever I go, and there will be lists and post-it's and I will be THAT mom. The super organized, never late for anything, always has cupcakes when she drops her kid off mom....that's some high expectations for a book, eh? I have this grand idea that this book will buy me more minutes in the day :) Anyways, if you want your own, you can find it here!

Anyways, other than that, not much going through my mind! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and are looking forward to the next! :)

  1. We were thinking of taking the kids to Monster Trucks but we went one year without the kiddos, actually before kiddos were even thought of it - and not only is it loud, its toxic in there, the smell of fumes and gas! Also, when I was looking at tickets, when you put a child admission, they won't even give you decent seats, you can't get lower or 1st level - just a heads up!

    1. Yeah, we're looking to like Montreal or something to find more of an outdoor rally. The idea of being trapped in CTC with all of that makes me sick. We would probably be looking like 200 section kind of height too. I don't want G too close, where if something went flying, he would get hit. And I don't want him to get scared. I think that would be a good distance away, and easy enough to pop out and leave once he's had enough, without interrupting the die-hards closer to the front lol.
