30 before 30 : Update 1
Remember my post yesterday about feeling behind on everything? This list is also one of those things! I haven't been referring to it often, but the year is still young and I WILL get on track:)
1) Donate food to an animal shelter (particularly kitten food, since they are ALWAYS running out)
2) Take a pottery class I looked into this, and it looks like a huge time commitment? Does anyone know where I can just do a quick two-hour inservice and try and make a bowl or something lol
3) Give someone a gift for no reason
4) Read the Game of Thrones books and then watch the show
5)Attend at least 2 shows at the NAC
6) Go camping (or cottage-ing) as a family of three
7)Take Garett skating on the canal
8) Lose 60 pounds At 16 now. The muscle mass is building, I can tell, and have lost quite a few inches, but the weight is slow to come down. Hopefully in the next 11 months 44 more pounds is do-able :)
9) Try a beginner's spin class
10) Get away for a weekend with the girls
11) Try pizza cooked in a wood burning oven
12) Visit a psychic
13)Go on one or two trips We have one booked for Nov 18-23. Will probably use our "free trip" from our purchase of our Amstar Resort membership in April, as long as we are not expecting lol
14)Finish the basement and decorate it!
15)Sell our house and move into the city (as long as the real estate market is good. I don't want to lose money for the sake of this list lol) This one is being discussed a lot more right now with the launch of the new bar, the success of the store, and the success/amount of commuting with the concrete company. I wouldn't argue with being closer to town sooner than later if it meant seeing my husband more :) I would heavily mourn the loss of our daycare provider, since she is so amazing!
16)Visit the museum of civilization with Garett
17) Take a family trip to a different city (somewhere close by)
18) Read 12 books at minimum This one is slower going than normal too. I'm still on book 1 of this year. OUCH
19) Take Garett to build-a-bear
20)Cook a soufflé successfully
21)Go one month without falling behind in laundry
22)Sell some of my baking at Tyler's store
23)Try a new soup recipe that I normally wouldn't pick to make
24)Send baked goods to daycare more often
25)Have a mommy and Garett date day where we do all of his favourite things next summer
26)Try at least one restaurant on my "to try" list for Ottawa
27)Go hiking with Tyler I requested this a few weekends ago--a quick overnight to Tremblant with Ty and G, get a cool athletic type stroller for G and take him on some nice hiking trails. The weekend turned out to be gloomy and rainy. We may post pone for the summer time :)
28)Have a big 30th birthday bash I don't know if it will be a "bash", but I have requested finally my wine and cheese pairing party. We know a sommelier so hopefully it works out!
29)Buy myself a piece of nice jewelry
30) Get a new car (if we successfully move into town :) )
