*Weekend Rewind*
I am here, at work, after having fought through wanting to sleep in a lot longer, and fighting traffic also. I was here 40 minutes late, but I am here :) Luckily it seems like everyone is off, so it doesn't matter I guess. I could have been 2 hours late, but since I'm so dedicated, 7:40 was the latest I allowed myself LOL
On Friday, I was supposed to head to Orleans after for our girls dinner, but wound up that barely anyone could make it, so we will plan another when everyone can come :) Instead, I picked up G, ran some errands and it was just him and I until about 8:25 pm. We were just finishing up his snack to get ready for bed when Ty got home. Ty walked in and said "um, you realize he's asleep, right?" He was leaning up against the lounge part of the couch, with a cracker in his hand, sleeping. I thought he was watching tv! haha oops! Guess it was time for me to go to bed too!
Saturday we were up around 7:30, and Tyler went to town to start at work around 9, so Garett and I stayed home, put away some laundry and played. He went down for his nap around 11:40 and slept for almost 4 hours. I loaded the car while he napped, and showered and did my hair and got dressed. When he got up, we headed into town to visit daddy for a bit, and then we headed over to Granny's where he was going to stay the night. He was having fun as soon as we arrived, so barely even wanted to say bye to me.
I went back and we played some Cards Against Humanity (two times that night lol), and had a few drinks and SO many laughs. Two of my good friends outside our inner circle came out, and my two worlds collided in the best way. I think everyone hit it off really well :)
The cantina closed at 2, and we all headed to Shannon and Casey's house for the night. I had some toast and peanut butter, and we visited for a bit longer and went to bed. There was not nearly enough sleep to be had, but we went for breakfast in the morning (just Shannon and I as it turns out) regardless. I picked up Garett, and he had so much fun the night before, and wasn't keen on the idea of leaving, but we packed up the car and off we went. He napped for about 20 minutes of the ride, and then would not go for a nap when we got home. He was in a pleasant mood so I just left it after a few attempts. My parents came for a visit, so we headed into town to see the Star Wars characters at the store, and then went for a trip to toys r us. We headed home after that , and Garett slept for a lot of the ride, and went right to bed for a nap when we got home too. He slept for like 3 hours total, woke up, played a lot and then went back to bed at 9:30 for the night. Didn't hear a peep from him (guess he was tired too ! lol), and we all went to bed right away.
So with the lack of real good sleeping this weekend, I went to bed and decided not to set an alarm, that I would just be late today. Usually my alarm goes off at 6:05. I woke up on my own at 6:39 this morning feeling more refreshed. Well worth it :)
