Things I'm loving

1) the weather. When I get to stay inside unless necessary, I really don't mind the snow. Also I prefer it over -30 temps and freezing rain. Also, every time it snows, it is essentially money falling from the sky for doing nothing for Ty, which we appreciate :)

2) We sent off Valentine's buckets to daycare with Garett yesterday. She is waiting to celebrate Valentine's with the kids until the two littles that are out sick right now return :) We sent out provider a bucket of her own with a Starbucks gift card, and a gift certificate for a pedicure at a spa near her house that I love. 

3) keira was getting the beginning of a cold , it hasn't amounted to much yet *knock on wood*. A few coughs through the day and a bit of a runny nose that i keep under control with the nose Frida. I have 8 days left of antibiotics, and G will be done his tomorrow morning. 

4) Keira only took two naps yesterday instead of three. But those two naps were each well over 2 hours, so that was nice !! I got some laundry put away, bottles washed and sterilized, more purees made, dishes done, dinner started, vacuumed and cleaned the kitchen countertops.

5) Tyler and Garett walked in around 4, and gave me a surprise bouquet. While we usually get each other a gift of sorts (this year, we are going out to see "Famous" at the casino that I paid for and ty is treating dinner at Arome at the casino beforehand), he always buys flowers. Probably to show support to his cousins flower shop, since she has always been such an advocate for Tyler's businesses. It's the least he can do ;) 

Again, they did not disappoint:

6) I am loving all the new recipes we are trying out. About 60% of them are keepers, and the rest are ones that we will never make again. Doesn't hurt to try! Thanks Pinterest!

7) I finished my paperwork today for my care and nurturing leave. I am supposed to go back to work July 10, but I am staying off until G goes to school, and Keira gets used to daycare (so probably two weeks into September ). If all goes as planned financially, I will extend until Christmas. 

8) countdown to the trip is officially on. Excursions are booked, transfers are booked, and I started the shopping for the little stuff we need. :)

9) Garett had a dentist appointment on Monday. I had to reschedule mine (next appt was march 7!). I thought he had a hike in one of his eye teeth, but she said no it's just a little calcification. He does have a cavity in the front of his two middle teeth, she said we should just leave it, that it won't cause any problems. But maybe to use less toothpaste, because using too much could cause too much abrasion and wear down enamel on his little teeth. So we aren't covering the brush anymore, just a pea size amount and it seems to be working out ok.
