Life lately
I am so bad at keeping this page updated. Something's gotta give somewhere though, and with Keira being more mobile and interactive these days, my attention has shifted a lot.
But anyways..
Lately;
-Tyler's season started. And it's insane. He's writing up a tender for a huge water park opening up near brockville, has two pool companies he does all the concrete work for, and having to keep up with estimates and whatnot. He's a busy guy, but he's trying his best to juggle it all and spend as much time at home as possible.
-in addition to that, the roof collapsed in his retail store in a section in the big back room because the tub in the apartment above leaked. So the landlord and insurance is getting that all sorted out and fixed. Because that's more stress he needs to deal with.
-I enrolled Garett in "Sea Otter" level swimming lessons that start in July, and put him on the list for the next 6 month session of Karate. I gave him a list and told him to pick two. Those are what he picked. He wanted hockey and drum lessons also, but I don't want him to have too much on his plate once he starts school.
-Keira finally had her 6 month shots yesterday (she will be 9 months next week lol). The nurse at my docs office retired , and our doc always scratches Ty's arm when he goes in for his weekly allergy shots, so I have been so scared to bring Keira there, in case she is careless like that always. But she was great. Keira flinched when she put the needle in , but then was giggling and blabbing away two seconds later. She didn't even cry for a second! She is such a little trooper, I love love love her.
-We were waiting for cinco de mayo to book our next trip, because our vacation club membership usually has really good sales this week. Except this year. So we have a few ideas, and I'll keep checking on the pricing. They price match other places also; and then provide 25% off of that price matched price , which is amazing! So no rush!
-I started the 21 day fix. I'm on day 15 , and so far down 10lb. And I haven't been keeping up totally with the workouts , since some days they're hard to get to, but so far so good! Happy with the results so far :) it's a lot of work though for the first week and a half for meal prep and the containers. Now I have a handle on how much of what I need to fit in a day, what classifies as which category, how much and how often I should eat something, and how often I should be eating. Big thing for me was cutting out juice and pop. Water only, and three times a week, a few ounces of milk in replacement of a yellow container. Also cutting out salt, sugars and most carbs has been difficult, but it's really a game changer ! I will keep this up forever , with the occasional treat meal because I am really digging not feeling sick after everything I eat. Tyler must think I'm a normal person again.
-I ordered all the gates we need for the house since Keira is all over now. This will help me sleep at night, lol
-I ordered Garett's backpack, lunchkit and pencil case for school , as well as some slim ice packs, lunch containers, stackable Lego cutlery , and thermos containers. Since I'm going to be off for August and half of July and a bit of September unpaid, I'm planning way ahead and getting all the necessities in place for September :)
-this weekend we are off to our friends Corey and Shaunas baby shower. She's found out she was pregnant the day after my wine and cheese birthday party , using my last extra pregnancy test I gave her! Since I gave her the test , she told me first before her family even haha they are welcoming a baby boy. I can't wait for them! They will be such wonderful parents.
-I rearranged the toy situation also. Since Keira is obsessed with playing in Garett's toy area, I didn't want her pulling herself up on the little cubby shelves in case they fell on her. So I moved them and most of his toys to his closet , and left one of those colourful bin organizers and his toy box of toys downstairs, with his workbench and BBQ. Looks much neater and bigger now!
-Garett has been cracking me up lately. His new thing is saying "yes?" At the end of all his statements. "We could go to the park....yes?" "This book is so funny...yes?" "Steve likes when I kiss him here...yes?" lol I don't know where he picked it up , but it's hilarious. Put that one down in the "I. Don't want to ever forget this" book!
-this weather is insane. Tyler wants to take Garett and the dump trailer filled with sand to Clarence-rock land this weekend to volunteer making sandbags for their residents. That would be right up gs alley. Sand and helping !
-I need my hair done and cut badly.
I think that's pretty much it! I've been away so long, I can't even remember what's been happening ! Lol
