Life Update in point form

Hello, hello, everyone!

Time is not exactly on my side these last few weeks, so I don't feel like I'm just falling behind in blogging, but also in life! I just want to take a minute to SLOW DOWN.

I'll break it down into updates on each person in my little clan, or it'll just sound all over the place!

Garett:

-He adjusted very well to school. He has made lots of new friends, enjoys going, and loves before and after school programs as well, so he can "hang with his bros" he says.......4.5 going on 10, I swear.

-Since he graduated from the Sea Otter Level in swimming, he has started "Salamander" level. He's three lessons into this level, and will graduate come December 20th. He is still loving swimming! He very much looks forward to Weds nights. At this rate, in the accelerated classes, he will be just about life guard level trained by the time he is 7, lol

-He started CanSkate last Saturday. He discovered a girl from his class is in his group. He did so well, I am so proud of him! He was falling quite a bit in the first 10 minutes, but is excellent at standing up after he falls and was even skating on his own pretty well by the end of the 45 minute lesson!! He does this every Saturday morning until December 16, and then takes the next level, and then we will make the shift to hockey once he's an avid skater. Being the fastest skater on a team would not be a bad thing! ;)

-He just received his first Scholastic order. He sat at the kitchen table and circled everything he wanted, and then I ordered a bunch of stuff from his choices. I had to limit myself a bit, so it would fit in his backpack! haha Scholastic is so fun as an adult with your own money. Yikes.

-He participated in the Terry Fox Run, and then they did some Races later in the day , and he beat all of the JK/SK's and some grade 1's! He's quite the little athlete.

-He is pretty happy at the fact he is in the "milk club" at school. They deliver him a little chocolate milk everyday.

-He is also excited for our first turn to make playdoh for the playdough club at school. If you sign up, you get put onto a calendar and bring a huge batch in for the following week. We got four dates this year. Our first turn is November 13.

-He also just signed up for pizza days. They have 9 of them between now and January, so I paid in advance for the half year, and sent another payment in for if there is someone that doesn't have a lunch that particular day. One less thing to worry about.

- Today is his first PD day. They are at a different school location with their daycare program.. He was very excited to see the other schools kindergarten room, school yard and gym! lol
-Yesterday all families sent in an apple and a bowl/spoon, and they made apple sauce and apple crisp to celebrate their fall harvest.
-We also sent in 10 canned goods for their Thanksgiving canned food drive for the mission. He was pretty happy to add his cans to the pile.
-The kindergarten classes went on a nature walk last week along the trails, looking for signs of "fall". He thought that was quite an adventure because they saw little waterfalls.
-Garett brought in his Teacher and ECE gifts yesterday for Teacher Appreciation day. The teachers got a nice stainless steel travel mug with a blurb about teachers on the outside, and a journal. The ECE's got a cute pewter keychain and they all got pens that have a window with a message that changes everytime you click it. I also gave them each $15 Tim's gift cards. He always gets VERY excited to deliver presents.
-He is very much looking forward to his schools Halloween bake sale/dance/party on the 20th. I will take him, while tyler has a little gig from 8-10, and I'll have someone come and watch Keira. There will be games, and a costume contest, and bake sale and dance.
-On the 31st is black and orange day at school. We will have to figure something fun out for this. Maybe spray his hair black with his coloured hair spray from when he was Dracula last year.

Keira:
-Adjusted SO well to daycare. She is so amazing.
-on antibiotics for a few more days for a sinus infection and one ear was a little red.
-Is talking SO much. I thought maybe since she was such an early walker, taking her first steps in her 8th month, that maybe she would be a little slower to start talking. But just like her brother, blazing a trail of high expectations for her, she says so much now! She says her own name, "ARETT" for Garett, Hi, Bye bye, momma , dada, ta-da, I did it, "butt" for belly button, Eye, Yes, Bottle, "ee's" for ears, Hat, Meow, Maggie (friend from daycare), all done, etc, etc. It's wild to me. She just turned ONE. like what the heck?
-She is going to be Alice in Wonderland for Halloween, and the dress is so, so cute. I am excited to dress her up for daycare. She won't be going trick or treating, so I have just a pair of Halloween leggings for her to wear to be comfy at home :)
-She is a food monster. She eats all day, everyday it feels like. And she isn't picky. She eats any and everything. But has taken to throwing things on the floor over her highchair so she can scoop them into a bowl and eat them from the ground as soon as I take her out of her chair.

Tyler:
-Is having such a good season. He is having a lot of fun, mixed in with some really stressful times, but mostly fun lol
-He signed contracts for his F250 and his dump truck to do salting and plowing runs for commercial properties this winter. Another winter of just working at his store and not worrying about long hours of work. I LOVE WINTER just because of this. He is available all the time and home so much. We get a lot of together time in, and cleaning done, and relaxing in in the winter time.
-He's been playing with a bunch of different people musically, for short gigs that are close to home, for fun. Next weekend will be their usual band and also Disco Inferno for a benefit for his aunt and uncle, and the following Friday with some other band on elgin for 2 hours. I don't mind those gigs. but no more out of town stuff, for 5 hours and hardly any money! Gone are those days. Thank god.
-We are thinking about our next business venture. And lots of meetings with coders and developers and lawyers have happened, but while they work on that amongst themselves, we have nothing to report until it's off the ground running.

Me:
-I found a house I want, but it's in another school district. Why couldn't it have come up in like May!!!? lol
-I am busy.all.the.time. I don't even feel like a person on weekdays. It's like robot mode-get kids squared away, work, go home, cook, clean, get kids squared away for bed, shower, bed. I am team- weekend again! haha
-Before work, I went and chopped off like 10 inches of hair, and had balayage done. I went to like a copper blonde colour, and next time it will be lighter. Once I do that and am sick of it, I'll go really dark again.
-I don't have a ton to update on myself! Obviously, judging by the amount written for the other people that I keep track of, I haven't had a ton of time to add anything to the list for myself lol.

    1. Aw, I think he will!
Garett begged us to do it. Since he was like 2, he has been wanting to learn to skate fast like the hockey guys on tv. He wanted to join hockey this year, but I said no, you have to learn how to skate well first. But he loves it! They play games and with tambourines and stuff.
