Weekend Recap

My Blogger App on my phone isn't compatible with my ioS11 update, and now I can't even do photodump posts that I really need to do! Oh well...first world problems, right?

So for now, all you get is words, until I figure out how to get pictures back up and running :)

Friday was a hectic day. After work, I ran to grab Garett at school. When I got home, my dad was already there, with Tyler and Keira. We were running short on time, so we ordered in from Tony's up the road. My MIL and FIL showed up, as did the twins (our sitters) to watch keira while the rest of us headed out. Originally, Tyler was supposed to come to the Halloween party at G's school for the first hour, but the band he was sitting in with at LIVE! on Elgin, told him there was a designated load in time, being that it was downtown. So, off he went right as we were leaving for the party.

He didn't miss much though. There were some tables set up in the hall as raffles to win a cake (a bunch of people made Halloween inspired cakes), or to win a pumpkin that the teachers painted or carved. We won nothing, but oh well! Inside, there was the "stick your hand in these holes, and guess what they are" game. Garett, being the realist he is, guessed the actual items, and not the "gross" alternatives haha. There was a bake sale in the gym as well, and they were serving up the pizza and drinks (I prepaid for some, but we just ate , so no one ate any). There were a few things set up for photo ops (and there was a photographer at one station taking the kids pics). There was also a game called "poke the pumpkin" which was a big cardboard pumpkin with cups all over, and orange tissue paper wrapped around them, filled with a goodie. Garett poked 5 of them. When I bought his tickets, he gave one to his "girlfriend" haha so cute.

My in-laws left after about 30 minutes, and my dad and I and Garett stayed just over an hour. Afterwards, we left and went to wendys for a snack of fries and frosty. Then a stop at the drug store to get garett 300 suckers , since he couldn't find a sucker at the party like a few of his friends , lol.

Once my dad headed home, and the sitters were paid and gone, I relaxed and caught up on some of my show before I passed out. Tyler was home around 11--quite a bit later than anticipated, but they had a heck of a time getting their stuff out the doors. He brought some mcdonalds home, so that was fine. I went back to sleep after I ate a few fries haha.

Saturday the kids slept in until 7:20 and we made a big breakfast. I got Tyler hooked on "This is Us" , so we watched that for a little bit before I headed out to take Garett to skating. Tyler had a travelling car detailer come and detail his personal truck in the driveway while I was gone, and when we got home, we all played outside for a little bit. Keira learned how to say "hockey". (HOCK-EEEEEEEEEEEE lol)

After naps, we tidied a little bit and did some laundry, and played outside more. It was such a nice day! Everyone was in bed so early! I even passed out at 7:15, and slept until 6:30 the next morning!! Over 11 hours sleep with zero wake ups! It was h-e-a-v-e-n.

Sunday we had a quick breakfast and I went to the grocery store for a big load of groceries for the week, and all of the Halloween candy and some goodies (PJ Mask and Shimmer & Shine sticker boxes) for the class. When I got home, we made a nice lunch and lounged around a bit. We decided not to take the kids to the benefit that night for Ty's aunt and uncle that lost everything in the flooding, since it was too loud for Keira in there. Sound check was at 3, so tyler headed out around 2 so he could help everyone unload their gear and get set up.

He was home around 9, and brought a club and fries from the place for me. The kids and I had ordered East Side Marios (their current favourite), so I wasn't that hungry. I ate a few bites of the sandwich and saved the rest for todays lunch :)

We watched "This is Us" until 11:00, had our showers and went to bed.

I tossed and turned like crazy trying to get to sleep last night. Anyone else? So frustrating!

Hope you all had a wonderful Monday! :) Today was picture day for G-man at school. Dropping him off this morning was the cutest thing, seeing all the girls and boys looking so spiffy! hehe Can't wait to see his proofs :)
