Long Weekend Recap
It was a "busy" lazy weekend.
Friday at work, my boss (who was acting for my higher up boss), told us we could go home an hour earlier than we usually finish. But then around 2:30, we all decided to head over to tower D (the bar), and celebrate an early thanksgiving weekend. I had a few drinks, and stayed until 7:30, when I ubered home. We had a pretty quiet night after that. The kids were in bed when I got there, and I was asleep by 9:30.
Saturday we woke up and made the kids breakfast, and we played until we had to head to Cornwall for my family meal. We played and ate and visited until about 4:45, and headed home. We put the kids to bed and ordered in some Wild Wing for a bed picnic and watched Super Troopers. We were in bed by 9:30 again haha
Sunday we woke up and made a big breakfast, and I went out to the store (which was a ghost town) to grab some fresh fruit and veggies for lunches this week, and then cooked turnips all day so we could have a big casserole dish of them to bring when we headed over to Ty's aunts house around 3. It was SO hot in there, and the kids were not cooperating well for the first little while, so I took them home around 6:30 after we FINALLY FINALLY ate.
Keira went to bed right before 7, and I let G stay up a little later on his ipad, while I tidied up the house and the basement. I took him to bed at 8, and went downstairs for a snack. A few of the cousins came over after dessert, around 7:30. We stayed up and listened to music and had some drinks. Most everyone left around 2. We had one cousin and her bf sleep over because they couldn't drive, and live too far to uber.
Monday, the kids slept in until about 7:45, and we made some breakfast and lounged around and played. It was raining like crazy outside. Tyler went over to the store for a bit, and we ordered in East Side Mario;s for lunch. We played and tidied a lot, and put away some laundry. The kids both napped for a few hours, and I also grabbed on for about an hour of the three they slept for *LOVE rainy days in*. We then ordered in Pizza for dinner (obviously we didn't feel like cooking much yesterday). I started watching the show "Life in Pieces" and its actually HILARIOUS. Again Keira was in bed around 7 (she barely made it lol), and Garett went at 7:15. I had a relaxing bath, and we fell asleep to some episodes of Brooklyn nine-nine (we are rewatching again). No one woke through the night, so it was nice to get a good solid sleep again. I slept until 6:15 (so got almost 10 hours of sleep lol).
Today started out terribly, lol. I reached over to shut my alarm off, and spilled the rest of my glass of water all over the place. Then Garett got pee on his shirt, so had to go change, he spilled his pancakes and syrup on the floor, keira grabbed his juice cup off the edge of the table and spilled juice all in her hair and on her outfit, so I bathed her quickly and changed her, and we were running crazy late, so I dropped off the kids, and realized that I had forgotten to send her medicine to daycare. I couldn't fight the traffic back there, or I wouldn't have been here until 9:30, so I dropped it at home, because I KNEW I would forget it in the fridge at work if I dared bring it here, lol.
I get to work and the girl I work with is not in, and the day after a long weekend is always the craziest. I was feeling so blahhhh , I was thinking of leaving at noon, but now that she's not here, I will suck it up until 4 then. At least I'm here, and they have someone to rely on that doesn't call in sick over every little ache and pain , lol.
Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving/long weekend, and has such full bellies that they have to go buy new pants :)
