At a glance

Lots of stuff on the horizon!

- This weekend is date night! We are going out alone this weekend since it's been a LONG time since we were out just the two of us. Going to try a new place I think. It'll be nice to dress up and hit the town. Maybe he will woo me haha AND I'm done my antibiotics as of tomorrow morning, so I can actually have some cocktails also!

-Next weekend we are maybe going to get tickets with another couple to go watch the Elton John Tribute band for another evening out.

-Next week is valentines day, so sending off the Valentines stuff to school and daycare, and giving Tyler his fancy gift lol He already told me he is buying me a pedicure, so I may use it very soon, since my mother in law gave me a mani/pedi for Christmas too that I've been saving for our trip.

-Back to basketball and swimming lessons. We will also do open swim this weekend to work on some stuff with Garett. He needs to keep up since he is in 9-week lessons instead of 12-14 week lessons. Much more compressed.

-Daycare is closed Feb 16, so Tyler will be home with Keira, and the 19th daycare and school are closed for Family Day, so I booked it off to be home with the kids (we don't get family day as a holiday in the fed govt, so I always have to blow a vacation day on this lol). Hopefully we can find something fun to do. Hopefully winter activities in abundance--praying for some nice mild winter days!

-Garett has spirit weeks for Lent coming up--jersey day, flag (red and white) day, twin day, etc. Also shrove Tuesday with pancakes at school, pizza days, and another science thing through school. They also have a rink in their yard, so they skate ALOT with school. They've gone out three times already this year. Yesterday they went again.

-Report cards go home this month too (not sure if Kindergarten get another set before the end of the year or not)..but his are always just comments--no grades in JK lol

-Trip countdown is at: 33 days. This is taking a LONG time. But in order to start checking things off my list, I packed my swimsuits and coverups two days ago. I also hung all of my dresses for dinner with the corresponding jewellery I will wear, and are ready to fold and throw in the suitcase! Just have to pack the easy stuff now --excursion outfits, unmentionables, makeup, shoes, etc.

-Finished reading "The little book of hygge" the other day, and have made my list to read for the rest of winter. This online library reading is really AWESOME and im addicted and blowing through a book every other day. Usually I spend about $80 a month on books..now...ZERO. Though, I will still buy the books I really like. I do miss highlighting books to refer back to pieces that really resound with me, but this seems to be a good compromise! :)
