Getting caught up

With the sickness that ravaged the house for a few days, it really felt like we were falling behind on everything.
It was only a couple days, but it felt like MUCH longer, so I wasn't really that far behind on things, so it was easy to catch up and feel productive!

Last night after work, Tyler grabbed both kids and I went right to the grocery store and did a HUGE haul. Like, I almost needed two carts. The fridge and cupboards are all restocked, and that alone makes me feel better! I'm not used to being home with the kids and them eating CONSTANTLY through the day, plus all the meals for us at home--we were getting pretty creative for snacks by the end of the sickness lol.

When I came home, we all put the groceries away together (this takes SO long, but I prefer having everyone do it, so I don't have to answer "what did you buy to eat" a hundred times).

Tyler made a cheesy stirfry pasta thing for supper, and fed the kids before I got home, so I sat down quickly to eat some, and packed Garett's lunch.

Tyler took the kids upstairs to give them a bath, and I stayed downstairs and wrote out 46 Valentine's cards and assembled 46 little loot bags (pencil, stamp, eraser, jewel, sticker box) for Garett's kindergarten mates. I also assembled 5 kids bags and valentines for daycare (same stuff, but add a TON of chocolates in--not allowed chocolates in the school ones). I also put the teachers and ECE and daycare providers baskets together.

I went upstairs and laid out the kids and my clothes for the day, and got their pajamas out for the night. Keira immediately went to bed, and Garett played Stardew valley for a few minutes before he went.

I finished up the thank you cards from Garett's birthday party, and addressed the envelopes, and will mail those today!

I ordered all the "big" toys for easter from Toys R us this morning, and all of the chocolate I will need. I also ordered the last of what I needed for the trip (new pair of sandals, new dress shoe sandals, all the sunscreen and aftersun spray, toothbrush, etc). So I'm all set to finish packing once we get closer!

Reservations were made for tomorrow nights dinner--we are going to Big Easy's on Preston--we popped in for a drink a few months back, before we went for dinner, and we LOVED the atmosphere, and the menu looked really yummy, so we will start there tomorrow night at 6:30. Sitter booked for tomorrow at 5:30, and I am trying to run clothes through my mind to see what to wear. (my brain has confirmed that I hate ALL MY CLOTHES). Maybe I take Keira and I go buy something tomorrow morning while the boys are at basketball. Who knows :)

Since Garett missed two consecutive swimming lessons, Tyler is going to take him on Sunday to go over all the stuff he's learning, so he doesn't fall behind. He only has two more levels to go until he's in the big kids classes!

I borrowed Anna Kendrick's book "Scrappy Little Nobody" from the library. I haven't started it yet, and it seems long for a celebrity book, but hopefully it's good. I think she is so funny.

Happy Friday everyone!
