Freaking Friday!!!

Time is flying on by! As per the norm, I can't seem to get caught up or stay caught up. Oh well. Such is life when you're busy!

Garett started Beavers a few weeks ago and LOVES it. Last night, he earned the little tail for the back of his hat.






My Frockbox came again, and I kept 2/5 items. One cashmere type pull over black sweater, and a pair of super comfy maroon jeggings that I wore out the other night. I also received my new 2018/2019 planner, and new bedsheets I ordered for the new house for us and Garett. Yesterday, I ordered all of the kids outdoor fall stuff (coats, fall shoes, mitts, hats, etc)

Shannon and I went to try the drinks at FlapJacks pancake house on the weekend. They were good, there was just too much liquid in them. So we switched over to cheap gin and 7's. Had some food (which I found a bit pricey), and headed over to Pub Italia.


Looked through the beer bible, but these tired mommas settled on a Caesar and an order of bruschetta before grabbing our Lyft home around 11:15.



For the morning, I stayed and hung out with Keira (it was quite hot), but Tyler and Garett packed a cooler of snacks, a huge insulated water jug,  lawn chairs and headed out with their tickets to the air show in Gatineau. They left around 10, and were home around 4. They had a lot of fun, despite being HOT.



On Monday and Tuesday, I was not feeling great, so I stayed home and binge watched TV, ate lots of soup, and DIDN'T nap. Instead, I did this:



We are deep into the "eat all of the food in the house so we have NOTHING to move".
Here's a bit of what our freezer clearout looks like:


Roast Beef, creamy mashed and garlic green beans
Steak from Lavergne meat, a sautee of onions and yellow/orange bell peppers, Italian herb roasted potatoes


Spaghetti with an Italian sausage meatsauce, and mushrooms stuffed with a ceasar breadcrumb/parm blend


 
When you get a craving for sweet stuff, use up some ice cream from the freezer/syrup, and ALOT of peanut butter in a peanut butter mug cake (it was 4 ingredients and was actually pretty good!)

Last night, Tyler joined his cousins husband for motosocial (which is a big group of guys on bikes that meet up to ride together, talk and grabbed a coffee). This one was organized by the church group. He came home pretty happy.


Move is in T-22 days! So far on the agenda for the weekend : PACKING, CLEANING, SELLING EVERYTHING lol

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
