Mid-week date night
Yesterday was a crazy day for us both. Work is just getting crazier for Tyler, and it's at a constant state of chaos for me. I was running a grouping of interviews yesterday, and had to sit in on a few conference calls, so I was mentally completely checked out once I got home.
Tyler picked up the kids like usual, I popped in to fill my gas tank before heading home since it was so cheap, and I knew we were taking my vehicle. I emptied Garett's lunch, and packed a new one, cooked them some supper and left out some money for Val. I got Keira's bottle ready, laid out everyones clothes for the morning and we said goodbye for the night!
We got to Lansdowne in great time, found an underground parking spot super fast, and really close to the exit, and went into Joey's. We were immediately seated (which never happens there) and ordered a drink (Tyler got his usual Old Fashioned, and I had an Elderflower Collins). We ordered some appetizers (Japanese Gyoza and Tandoori chicken flat bread). We nibbled on that and had our drinks and then had our mains (Tyler had the butter chicken with naan and I had steak frites with parsley butter). We split a 9oz carafe of wine for dessert (since we couldn't consume anymore food) and squared up before we left.
We had bought tickets to City Folk, so we walked around the grounds looking at stuff and listened to a bit of Kaleo, sat on a hill and chatted and cuddled and then the main event we went for :

Tedeschi Trucks Band.
They were GREAT. The full horn section was with them, and the vocal talent on top of instrumental amazingness was just great. All I would have changed is if we had gone earlier and had a better spot, but all in all it was really great! They were supposed to be done playing at 10:15, but were still playing when we left at 10:35.
We planned to grab a beavertail on the way out, but I was still too full, so we just grabbed some waters and headed back home.
Tyler drove Val home, and I went straight to bed! It was really hard to get up this morning at 6, but up we got, fed the kids, packed the school bag, and Ty took Garett for me so I could be on time--I was still 15 minutes late LOL.
The big meeting I was supposed to go to today was post poned (woot) and I am looking at an easy-ish day and hopefully tomorrow too!
Tonight, Garett starts Beavers for real, and then there is someone coming to maybe pick up the electric fireplace. So it'll be a rushed supper tonight, and once Keira goes to sleep, I will go through more rubbermaids in the basement!
Hope you all had a great hump day!
