This and that

Well, 32 days until moving day. I have zero idea how organized I am right now, but things are shaping up on the main floor. We are busy busy with donating and selling and tossing stuff!

We have challenged ourselves to make this our lightest move yet, and I don't know if it will be , but we are doing so good! We are also using the money we make from selling stuff to put in a pot to pay for the trucks and pizza/beer for the people that help, and we already have more than enough for that, so we can even throw some $$ at closing costs, so more stays in our pocket :) I love when things work out well like that.

Last night I started going through basement bins. I got rid of one of our Christmas trees already, and all of our Halloween decorations (living in the country, we won't get any kids, so we won't be decorating like last year for Halloween). I will keep the basics for outside décor for fall and winter, but nothing else!

I also have my list of where the rest of the basement stuff goes- futon is going to Tyler's aunt for her new cottage, the "art" retro table will go to the free store that Tyler's cousin runs, may sell the air hockey table, getting rid of the basement sectional, fireplace and the tv stand. There's also a shelf to get rid of and two more rugs, and I think the organ will be going as well. Some stools will go into the garbage, and we only have about 20 books that we are keeping; the rest are bagged up for sale or donations! The bar and projector and Ty's computer and music stuff may be the only things coming from the basement! If we can keep up this pace, I think I can do it!

Tonight there are more people coming through my house, Shannon and Casey are coming for the fridge, I have a lady coming for the rug that was under my dining table, and a man is coming to look at our electric fireplace/tv stand. BYEBYE STUFF.

ALSO, I wish I would have done it a long time ago, but putting rubbing alcohol into a spray bottle, and spraying it all over my beige microfiber couch and rubbing with a dry clean sponge? Yah, it looks like brand new. I was just so scared to ruin it, this time I was trying to decide which couch to keep, so if I ruined it, it was no big deal. Worked out well, and now we only have to move a smaller sectional and the big leather one instead of two huge ones. Winning.

Garett was supposed to start Beavers last night, then we got a call that based on our new address, he should be going to the one closer to our new house. So we broke the news to him after he was in his hat and vest and ready to go. He was sad, but he goes on Thursdays instead. This is better for us anyways, because now the beginning of the weeks won't be so crazy!

Tyler's cousin and her boyfriend popped in last night to grab our big cat tower thing that our cats never gave the time of day to. So we had a nice visit for a bit :)

This morning, I took Garett to school, and it was Keira's first time seeing the new school and she kept going "WOWWWWW" to everything haha. It's a huge school, and she was just fascinated. Her new thing is saying "this is awesome", so in the car on the way home she kept saying "Garett's school is awesome" lol. Our daycare provider had an appointment this morning, so I stayed with keira for a bit, fed her some breakfast, cleaned up a bit, and then off we went. I was at work by 9:45 in time for my first meeting.

Tomorrow evening, Tyler and I are off to City Fest or whatever it's called to see some Tedeschi Truck Band. It's only 1.5 hours, and doesn't start until like 8:30, so we want to go a bit early for a nice dinner and also to celebrate our belated anniversary and my early birthday! lol

Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday! I am off to my last meeting of the day and then I am going to shut my brain off :)

    1. lol I did announce it in another post I think! I didn't talk about it a lot because it took forever to waive conditions and actually get the sold sign put up!

I LOVE moving. I am mourning the idea that this will be our last move until the kids are grown and gone. It's such a good time to go through things and really visually take inventory of all of the crap you've accumulated and get rid of it! lol
