Coming back this monday morning fully rested and relax-ated :) lol It was a busy weekend but we still managed to sneak enough sleep in somehow!
Friday night, we came home and ate dinner and I knew I had some major cleaning to do to catch up--and since Father Matthew is coming over on Wednesday night to bless the house, I started all the major cleaning (he's allergic to cats so I need to make sure there's a minimum of the hair floating around lol). So I went on a frenzy. All I have left is to clean the walls in the bathroom and to tidy up the laundry room and office. I will go over the floors to dust and mop one more time as well on Tuesday just for good measure! After the cleaning , we had a little snack and laid in bed watching tv movies until we fell asleep!
Saturday morning we woke up and lounged around for half an hour or so, then we got up and packed and got ready and headed out to meet Rod and Sharon at the Denny's at South Keys. I decided to have pancakes (which for those of you that know me, I NEVER order pancakes at a restaurant lol) but I saw a woman eating them and decided I HAD to have them lol. After breakfast, we followed Rod and Sharon up to the cottage---it facinates me when people call these things cottages lol..8 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 full kitchen and HUGE living rooms modelled after ski chalets (wooden vaulted ceilings, big fireplaces, etc). We spent most of the evening down by the water where he had a huge fire pit and he bbq'd us all up some chicken, steak, baked potatoes and served salads and all that jazz while the boys played at their leisure--there was a lot of people to jame with so no one was ever up for too long :) It was pretty chilly even with the fire though, so I grabbed the sleeping bag out of the truck and wrapped myself in that and was good to go :) I went up to the cottage/house around 1:45 to go to bed and Ty was shortly after me--SUCH a comfy bed! He owns a bunch of real estate I guess and that's how he could afford to build this beast--remind me again what we're waiting for to start buying properties??? We had another talk last night about it and we'll just wait until at least the baby is here since we have enough on our plates right now--it'll be nice to one day have a cottage that is actually a mansion LOL.
Sunday we woke up around 8:30 and went downstairs where one of the men was cooking breakfast--it didn't look at all appealing to me (he kind of just threw it all in one frying pan (bacon ,eggs, potato, etc) and it smelled burnt so I didnt eat it, but most of the others had a bit at least! Before long, it was time to pack up and head out! We were on the road by noon or so and home by 1:45 for our big nap :) It was SO nice to see some people we haven't seen in a while and just hang out by a fire with them all night and listen to the boys play and then jam around the fire! Goodbye summer :(
After our nap on Sunday we didn't do too much! We ordered pizza and wings and watched some tv and then cuddled up watching Confessions of a Shopaholic before bed (which was surprisingly pretty funny, even for Ty) lol.
It was hard waking up this morning with how cold it was (need to turn the heat on in the house I think!) and then looking out the window, I was hoping it was just dew on my car, but NOPE...it was scraper worthy frost :(
Off tomorrow for my birthday (and to have the Culligan man over to check our water and filtration systems) lol Thinking the best way to treat myself is to sleep in in the morning--Ty will be home for at least half the day as well--not sure if we're celebrating tonight or tomorrow but I am really wanting some Mushrooms Neptune from the Keg :) *hint hint* lol
