I don't know why they call it a long weekend when it's a "not long enough" weekend :( lol Needless to say, I am NOT ready to be back here this morning.
Friday, Tyler left around 2 for a paintball game in Picton ON for the night. Since I was going to be alone at home, I figured I would get some shopping done after work :) I drove into work and left around 3 since no one was here. Headed out to Mr. Lube for my $105.00 oil change lol. (I got other stuff done at the same time though so it's not too bad). Then had some Burger King with Doll before heading out to meet Amber since we were in Orleans! We started at Bonnie Togs, which is a family favourite baby/toddler clothing store. I bought whatever I liked from there for the baby (even though I had just been shopping there 2 days before LOL). Then we headed over to Ardene for a quick look and off to Walmart after where I just picked up some curtains for the nursery, baby laundry detergent, another little onesie and some more rubber maid bins to put pre-pregnancy clothes in! Then we headed over to Home Depot where I just bought a cubby shelf for the nursery closet and some cloth baskets to put in the cubby. We headed home right after that and I made it home by shortly after 8 :) I spent the rest of the night cleaning out my closet of clothes that don't fit right now and then relaxed and watched tv until I fell asleep!
Saturday morning, I was up bright and early and headed to Cornwall to spend the day with my family :) We went to my sisters school for a bit to do some work and then went over to Kiddy Korner (a good kids toy and furniture store there) and looked at cribs/nursery furniture. I found the set I really want--and we headed out for some lunch in Lancaster. I stayed until around 4 and then headed home! Tyler was supposed to get home around 6-7 but ended up being closer to 9. So I just relaxed and did nothing until he got there! :)
Sunday morning, we got up and went into town to visit mom-in-law Peggy to tell her the good news (that we're having a boy)..she wasn't surprised as she had assumed that's what it was (she was one of the only ones lol) and then she showed us some pictures from the cruise she just got back from--looked like she had a blast! After that, Ty and I went to Future Shop and bought a bunch of movies (Goon, Safe House and Backdraft), then stopped at the grocery store and picked up a bunch of our favourite things and went home. We stuck Safe House in and grilled some Pork Tenderloin and steak on our hot stone and pigged out on veggies and dip, a fruit tray, hummus and pita bread and cookies! lol We cut our wedding cake to try and eat--it smelled fantastic still and was super moist ( I did a slow defrost on it over a few days) but it just lacked any flavour --probably from sitting in the freezer I guess!..anyways, we had a bite at least and threw the rest of the top layer of our wedding cake out :( Too bad! lol After that, we just cuddled and watched some tv and went to bed early! (This was our anniversary festivities hahah--god, we really are old :))
Monday morning, Ty had to get up to go into work for a few hours--which gave me a chance to do some laundry, catch up on the dishes and move all his clothes into our bedroom so we're ready for the Pax now. I also moved some stuff (things from the walls and the bike and eliptical on wheels and the area rug) out of the baby room..all that's left is to move the cat food out and the futon down to the basement. I took the marroon curtains down from in there to be washed and put away. The room is ready for the paint (oops, i bought this too at Home Depot on Friday LOL)..I am so excited to start!! I just have to get Ty motivated to paint now hahaha.
When Ty got home, we literally did nothign for the rest of the day--it was wonderful! We were in bed and sleeping by 8:30 :) hehe
