Happy Hump Day everyone!! The middle of the week has arrived :) Yahoo!! Tomorrow is a nice short half day at work for me since I have a doctors appointment in the afternoon, so I will get to sleep in and drive in and have my car here:) After the doctors, I want to really just go home and catch up on more house stuff and start going through things and slowly child proofing--like the shelves in the basement full of glasses that aren't anchored to the wall--I think I should pack all those glasses up in boxes and move the shelves--seems like something a toddler would try to pull themselves up with and it would topple right down on top of him :( Just things like that--I'd like to prepare for that now since I don't want to think about it later!
Last night when I got home, Ty had actually made dinner--I almost died of a heart attack. I was on his case all day because he never cooks and it was raining and he got to stay home--so I was livid at the thought of him sitting around the house all day and waiting for me to come home to ask "What's for dinner?"...anyways...surprise--he had bbq'd the most delicious pork chops and made some green beans and rice--I KNOW he can cook, that's why it bothers me he doesn't help and do it a little more..but I really did appreciate the gesture last night, especially since I was a bit late getting home because of the weather and whatnot. So we ate almost right away after I got in :) We watched some tv and hung out together for a bit--then he brought in the shelf box that's been sitting in my backseat for a month that's too heavy for me to lift and he went to the bedroom and read while I put it together LOL...I finally managed to put one of those things together without ruining something or doing it wrong! yay! So I put that in the bottom of the closet with some little baskets in it :) Here is a picture so far of the closet (don't even bother paying attention to the colour because it looks nothing like that in real life--thanks blackberry for such a subpar camera in my phone :) lol)
The Indian Ombre rug I ordered is supposed to come in today--I tried leaving the Fedex guy a note on the door to leave it--but when things are over $100 in value they often don't leave it :( So here's hoping he's a nice guy and does and doesn't take it all the way to the depot, which is a huge pain in my butt when they do that!!
Today's weather is so perfect! It's nice and cool and a bit overcast--that's my favourite :) Some sweater weather is SO nice after the heat we've had!!
Today I am looking online for some maternity photo shoot ideas! :) Have to start getting all that planned since we are slotted to do it around the 7 month mark--so another 6 weeks or so--just want to get ready --one less thing to prepare for (which is always good!). Then we just have to set up the appointment for newborn pictures and we'll be done with the photographer for a while! lol We may even have to push back the maternity shoot because I was watching some stuff last night and all these women were 20 weeks pregnant waddling around looking SUPER pregnant..I called Tyler over and said--these women are all 2 weeks less pregnant than me--I guess I just haven't really "popped" yet, which is fine--but depending on when I do, we'll have to work around that for any pictures--Maternity pictures don't really mean anything when you're not showing a lot lol
This morning is going by slowly--I'm trying to take my time writing this a bit here and there-and it's still only 9:30am...I came in and had to put together 3 binders and had that all done so fast, I don't even know how I did it--I wish I had slowed down a bit! At least I have a meeting this afternoon--gets me away from my desk for a while :) And hoping Tyler will be around to pick me up--but he has a pretty busy day today so I won't bet on it! But the bus was super fast and early this morning --so here's hoping that the bus tonight follows suit :)
