Well I guess I better get used to blogging from home now that I'm officially off :) Christmas was great this year-- exhausting though!! I decided for baked goods this year I would just stick to cookies..so I set out and made shortbread, turtles cookies, peanut butter cup thumbprints, chocolate chip, pecan melt away (snowballs), and haystacks. I made way too many and had enough to bring a big container to Tyler's aunts, one to my parents and have one at home!! Christmas eve, we packed up the gifts for Ty's family, the cookies and Greek salad and headed out to the Blackburn arms so he could play a set with Christine. We grabbed. Ughhh I need to accomplish something! Lol I have to get to the grocery store to get stuff for my baking for Christmas and salad I have to bring to Christmas eve. Problem? Yes. The roads here are still not plowed and I can't get my car over the hump at the end of the driveway right now and I can't go shovel it since it's too heavy of snow :( so I'll just have to get up early and go tomorrow. Ty has to go finish his Christmas shopping so he can do that while I bake! Lol I need to get all the laundry and cleaning at least caught up on because there is nothing worse then being away for a few days and bringing all your new loot home and remembering you left the house in disarray!! Well, it's been. While and I figured maybe I should catch up a bit :) Things have been really hectic lately with everything. I knew my time at work was coming to a close quickly when I got PEP (polymorphic eruption of pregnancy) which is essentially a rash like skin condition (looks like hives and turn into little red dots when I scratch) that is apparently very common in mommies carrying their first BOY (of course lol) or multiples. It is extremely uncomfortable and it's all I can do not to spend my entire day scratching away. So I try to put it to the back of my mind because it's here to stay until sometime after I give birth, and there's not much that can be done other than cold showers and the occasional benedryl. With that in mind, I thought I would finish off this week at work and call it a day. I stayed home on Monday and Tuesday but forced myself to go in on Wednesday. What a horrible morning out there! Hope you all arrived at your destinations safely without winding up in a ditch! I was stuck driving 30 all the way to the park and ride and I can't say I'm sad about that--the roads out my way were an absolute sheet of ice--but should be turning to regular rain this afternoon so I'm hoping no scraping or skidding around on the way home :) Thursday I stayed home and Friday I was too busy to write trying to catch up from Thursday! Friday night after we got home, we changed and headed out to town to go to Ty's cousin Lissy's place with her sister Sal (and her boyfriend Brett) and Dolly for a games/snacks night. We stopped on the way in at Sobey's and picked up some yummy food and headed over. Have I mentioned how much I freaking love my husband??? I had an ok day yesterday--as in--it wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. Nothing particularily wonderful happened--and then it was raining when I was waiting 30 minutes for the bus with no umbrella lol wonderful! So I decided to text my hubby and tell him how unenthused I was about being in the rain and the bus being late since I knew he would understand being at work in the rain himself :) We also discussed how hungry we were (lol) and I said I had no idea for dinner yet since we have hardly any groceries (tonight is grocery night) and that I would just deal with it when I got home (which was going to be a bit later since our driver was a female and for some reason, the female OC drivers are slow pokes). Last night was awful! WARNING: Lots of complaining happening in the next few lines lol. First, my bus was late. My maternity pants were starting to irritate me because they're so hot on the stomach--then I got to sit squished up next to this guy who was watching Fringe on his ipad mini and making weird noises. There was SO much traffic coming into Embrun that I sat at the corner to get out of the park and ride for 6 minutes waiting to turn. No one knows how to use round abouts and then I get home and I'm grouchy. I told Tyler to eat leftovers since I didn't feel like cooking. I went in the house, sorted the mail, put my Pj's on, put some belly cream on and laid on the bed and cried and cried and cried--probably for about an hour. Ty had NO idea what to do so I told him to just leave me alone, and thankfully he did. (There's nothing I hate more then having to talk and explain why I'm crying when I have no clue lol). Weekend recap to start I guess! :) On Friday I got home and Tyler had his friend Gibby over--they had already ordered pizza, wings and poutine (I ate most of the poutine LOL) and they sat down for a long night of video games. An online game they had both been playing for almost 10 years was shutting down for good at 3AM. They took some breaks and we watched a scary movie and some tv and then they hunkered down (lol). I guess nothing crazy happened at the end, it just disconnected them (how annoying to stay up to see what happens and it's THAT anti-climactic! ). Gibby left very shortly after and Ty came up to bed. I was up again watching some tv (I slept from about 10-2 then couldn't fall back asleep until about 4). Saturday morning we were up pretty early. I did a few dishes and started getting ready.
