Well I guess I better get used to blogging from home now that I'm officially off :) Christmas was great this year-- exhausting though!! I decided for baked goods this year I would just stick to cookies..so I set out and made shortbread, turtles cookies, peanut butter cup thumbprints, chocolate chip, pecan melt away (snowballs), and haystacks. I made way too many and had enough to bring a big container to Tyler's aunts, one to my parents and have one at home!! Christmas eve, we packed up the gifts for Ty's family, the cookies and Greek salad and headed out to the Blackburn arms so he could play a set with Christine. We grabbed. Bite to eat there and she let a bunch of cuties sin some songs. Then an older kid started playing with the tambourine and it was time to go :) We headed over to his aunt Moe and uncle Bill's house for some snacks and family time. It was a very good year with no arguments or anything! :) after that we headed over to my mother in laws for the gift opening..everyone loved their gifts!! We headed out around 2 something and were asleep sometime after 3am..LONg night. We were up at around 10 and getting ready. The truck got loaded with more cookies and presents and we headed out to Cornwall. We visited a bit when we got there, had our big dinner and then headed over to see my Grandma and had a nice visit there, came home and started our gift opening. Halfway through we stopped for some dessert and continued. Around 10:30 the boys went down and put Ted on..it ended around 1:15 and we went to bed. I was so tired I slept well in a bed other than my own...which is shocking. We had a big breakfast all together and visited a bit and headed on our way home. When we got here, we unloaded the truck and showered and changed and headed to the store to pick up soft drinks and headed out to Ty's uncle Tim's and had their big family dinner..it was nice to just hang out there and eat and chat but we were both sooo tired so we left shortly before 8 and came home and went right to sleep! It was a wonderful Christmas and we were both so spoiled!!! We are just so looking forward to next year to be able to share this special time with our new addition :) I look forward to the many years to come and new traditions forming!! Dec 27 I was supposed to have a doctors appointment at 8:15 am. I intended to leave very early as the weather was the Pitts. I went and brushed off the car..which took forever and even as I was brushing it off more snow was accumulating on it. I decided to head out and made it two blocks and turned around and came home. I left a message to cancel my appointment. The receptionist called back at 8:30 telling me she was so sorry, she just got in (she had the same travel problems lol) and that it was good I didn't come because dr.McCarthy was delivering a baby!! So we just put it off to my next appointment on Jan 2 and I haven't heard anything back so I assume he was ok with this:) next appointment is my flu shot and strep B test. Yesterday my sister came up to go shopping with me :) I picked up all the pjs and nursing bras I will need for mmy hospital bag and bought everythingggg I needed for the baby still (with the exception of 3 tiny things). I got everything from my breast pump to car seat mats..it was a long shopping day and tiring on the bank lol. But it was so fun! My feet paid the price dearly so I soaked them later on! This morning I woke up and Ty got called out to Thurso on a call and then a few others after so I did a bunch of laundry and cleaned and put the bouncer together :)now I'm pooped again and am thinking of a night on the couch with my gave blu rays! (and snacks and blankets and pillows and pjs! Lol) Tomorrow I think Ty is planning a lazy day since he's on call again. We are planning on a few people coming over New Years eve since we need to stay close to home so I just picked up some frozen appetizers to toss in in case they do come and get hungry lol..not too concerned if anyone comes at this point lol. Anyways, that's pretty much all that's new here:) hope Santa was as goo to everyone else as he was on our end!! And happy new year if I don't blog again before then!!:)

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. I deal mostly with logic and facts, and less with emotions; they think I would be good as an analyst (weird, since this is pretty well my role at work), and with numbers (which I also do all day at work lol). -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
