Well, it's been. While and I figured maybe I should catch up a bit :) Things have been really hectic lately with everything. I knew my time at work was coming to a close quickly when I got PEP (polymorphic eruption of pregnancy) which is essentially a rash like skin condition (looks like hives and turn into little red dots when I scratch) that is apparently very common in mommies carrying their first BOY (of course lol) or multiples. It is extremely uncomfortable and it's all I can do not to spend my entire day scratching away. So I try to put it to the back of my mind because it's here to stay until sometime after I give birth, and there's not much that can be done other than cold showers and the occasional benedryl. With that in mind, I thought I would finish off this week at work and call it a day. I stayed home on Monday and Tuesday but forced myself to go in on Wednesday. Let me tell you, dress pants and those stupid waist bands are sooo itchy when rubbing on m stomach. So I finished up all my work, hot my affairs in order and called it a day. Today is my first official day off but my maternity leave doesn't start until Jan 11 officially. The extra few weeks off I nice to catch up on nesting, making meals ahead, cleaning, shopping for what I still need for baby and mentally preparing myself! Not to mention Tyler will appreciate all the amazing meals planned since I will be going crazy from boredom soon likely lolol. Today I finished off my Christmas shopping online since I didn't have the energy to go to town. Called a dew stores first and decided I wasn't going to put myself through that lol. We cut back big time this year but I think the gifts we did buy are pretty cool:) went to the post office and finally put some stamps on my shower thank you cards (oops) and nailed them. Wrapped the gifts. Now I'm getting ready to look through this weeks flyers with Christmas music playing and then making my grocery list :) I was going to go today but I need to go back on the weekend anyways to get stuff for Christmas and we won't be home much over the next week or so so I don't want to waste money on produce we won't even get a chance to eat! Bring on the next 13 months!! Hope you are all having a wonderful Thursday!!

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. I deal mostly with logic and facts, and less with emotions; they think I would be good as an analyst (weird, since this is pretty well my role at work), and with numbers (which I also do all day at work lol). -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
