What a horrible morning out there! Hope you all arrived at your destinations safely without winding up in a ditch! I was stuck driving 30 all the way to the park and ride and I can't say I'm sad about that--the roads out my way were an absolute sheet of ice--but should be turning to regular rain this afternoon so I'm hoping no scraping or skidding around on the way home :) Thursday I stayed home and Friday I was too busy to write trying to catch up from Thursday! Friday night after we got home, we changed and headed out to town to go to Ty's cousin Lissy's place with her sister Sal (and her boyfriend Brett) and Dolly for a games/snacks night. We stopped on the way in at Sobey's and picked up some yummy food and headed over. I had brought Battle of the Sexes and Cranium to play in addition to whatever they had already but it ended up being a no games night LOL..we all got too caught up visiting..until midnight...then we headed home! Oops :) Regardles, it was a good time with good company and so many snacks! lol Saturday we were up pretty early getting showered and ready. Around 11 we decided to head out to town and went to lunch (we didn't have enough time to go to our fave place for breakfast) and headed over to Empire Theatres for the 12:20 showing of Breaking Dawn Part 2...just liek the rest of the movies, I hated the parts they dwelled on the love story but the rest of the movie and the fight scenes were amazing! I am so glad they found a director that was able to portray things how I envisioned them in my head! So good :) Ty thoroughly enjoyed it too! By the time the movie was over, we left the theatre and saw LOTS of big fat flakes falling from the sky. We had intended on doing some shopping but went home instead because of the weather. We hung out at the house and cleaned/watched movies, etc for the rest of the afternoon :) Sunday morning we were up early again and Ty decided he was going to make a big breakfast! We lounged around a bit while we ate and such and then showered and headed into town for Christmas shopping. I always forget how much I HATE stores and people this time of year (brings out how rude and selfish people really are). We went to Walmart, Princess Auto, Giant Tiger, Rona and that was enough for me!! I was in such a crusty mood even after Walmart, I just wanted to go home. Thankfully, I'm more than half done my shopping (Ty--not so much lol) and I only need one more day to finish off what I need and I know exactly what I'm getting, which helps alot! Nothing I hate more than aimlessly walking around stores right now! We went home after to unwind and cook some dinner..Ty headed out around 11:30 last night voluntarily (he's such a hard worker!) to try and chase some calls coming in due to the snow and freezing rain--I guess there wasn't much so it was a huge waste of 6 hours :( But he has an easy day at work today--just off to brockville and back and hopefully he can go home and get some sleep since right now he's running on a 3 hour nap he had from 5-8! Today it seems as though no one is here--I hope I didn't come in for nothing! Tomorrow is the kick off to the long string of Christmas parties at work. It's the Divisional one tomorrow at Fox and Feather on Elgin. I don't think I'm going..It's pretty far of a walk and it only starts at 2:30--by the time I get my big butt there (lol) it'll be time to turn around and come back to catch my bus! But they plan on doing the trash to treasure gift exchange again this year--I don't liek those--I don't have any trashy/junk/tacky stuff at my house to bring in! lol Wednesday is a little longer than a half day for me but I am leaving a few hours early as I have my second appointment with Dr. McCarthy. I have a few questions for him so Weds can't come fast enough!!! Hoping for a quick/short feeling week! Then I only have one more to go! OMG! :) Next week is full of Christmas parties so it should be easy and fast..CAN'T wait:) Happy freezing rain Monday everyone!
